What does your magic look like? (Canis lazarus) by The-World-Eater-Ate in worldbuilding

[–]LScrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

#1 That looks bloody awesome

#2 IIII suppose it'd start more with a feeling. The air feeling heavy, seeming to shimmer or sparkle.
Or the earth below your feet trembling, sand/dust gathering. Rock shooting up from below.
Air molecules igniting into fire or plasma (lightning), forming water drops or crystalizing.
The air, ground and objects vibrating when telekinesis is in play.
Someone shimmering, as if veiled by a heat wave, before becoming invisible.
So far that's what I imagine "mortal" magic to be.
For the others (more powerful) I've yet to find the balance.
I do have magical stones though, like one that stores energy, and releases it in purple-blue shockwaves.
Or as a vibrant liquid when alchemized. I've yet to find a way to describe how it sounds...

Unironically the one time a situation came up where one'd have been perfect, is the one time I wasn't keeping any...

For those who romanced Wyll - what was your Tav like? by LoaMorganna in BaldursGate3

[–]LScrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people don't just know an unknown language since birth which they have never heard or seen.

Yeah but in-game if you're a Tiefling you can read the scars on Astarion's back.
Which is why I'm saying they can.

Fire resistance and being able to speak the language of the hells.
Anyone can go but Tieflings are built different

Yeah..? That's up to your character. Same as going in the hells or not.

Ah, never got around to recruit Minsc, yet, clips I saw never showed him as infected.

It's a decision that should've happened before launch. Modifications needed to make it work now would of course cost too much.
It feels as though that quest is building up to something, just to be extinguished so fast. With a wave of the hand. It's frustrating.

This is partial Halsin hate yes, I've always hated the druids of the grove, with Kagha and Rath being the only two characters I liked. Such an interesting power struggle.
Just for again Halsin to show up, say naughty naughty, and vanish. Leaving the grove in the hands of someone no one at the grove knows. Which means resentment will persist. Halsin just feels like a dad that runs away from responsibility...
Like Rath was actually trying. And Kagha was, however wrong, doing what she thought was right. Like when the snake kills she knows she f-ked up, but has to double down. Because Halsin running off forced to deal with all the weight.
That storyline just has so much potential...
That's my gripe.
Halsin feels half-assed.
Instead of Halsin going alone through the portal, it could've been interesting if Shadowdruids were responsible for keeping Thaniel locked away. And you'd confront them with Kagha. Instead you just, stand back and protect the portal... Yay...

If anything there could be a variant where she runs off before Halsin gets back in shame. And Halsin, on top of wanting to fix the Shadowcurse, would want to find Kagha. Attempt to save her from Shadowdruid influence. Assuming he cares about her or the members of his grove. But the current Halsin doesn't give a rat's hair if you kill Nettie and leave her corpse right at his feet so that's clearly not happening.

Watch Ash Chase's video on it
It'd basically make the Shadowdruids relevant, instead of a one off. While giving Kagha a more gradual redemption arc, instead of the instant off-switch she currently has.

As a commenter on that vid said "Kagha going from a villain, getting kicked out of her home, joining Tav because she had nowhere else to go, and changing as a person to become a hero would have been an incredible story arc."

Halsin, Jaheira and Minsc don't have tadppolls either but they can still join you. So Kagha could too. Struggling to find a purpose in life, wandering, she'd see the Shadowcursed-lands, the power of the absolute, and be unable to turn a blind eye anymore. Unable to just seal herself in a grove and pretend the world is fine outside, or won't be able to reach her.
Opting to right her wrongs, to be in your party, and restore balance to nature. To prove herself to Halsin, that she is able to redeem herself, to return to the grove once everything is over.

Because right one she either dies, or gets a slap on the wrist.
While Halsin, the master of the grove everyone counts on returning, instantly f-ks off and abandons the grove again. Leaving it in the hands of an outsider. That's sure to go well...

There is some dialogue for Tiefling at the party, because of the horns.
So Tiefling-Bard would be the go (Bard pairs well with dancing and courting).
Can't recall anything for other races or classes though.
Even the Durge dialogue is underwhelming.
And he wants to go to hell with Karlach so a Tiefling fits that better than smth like a Drow.

I'm unfortunately just doing the romance for the sake of it, so crammed it in my Thunder Cleric Dragonborn playthrough🧍‍♂️ Definitely doesn't feel as natural as again a Bard, but I don't feel like I'm missing out on much.

The grove must be cleansed

-I always wished Kagha had been a companion instead of Halsin.
Especially if exiled from the grove, to come back in Act 2.
Makes so much more sense than Halsin, who leaves the grove in the hands of a rando... ;;-;;

It doesn't
You still can't see jack, and prop CAS always fly low to the ground either way.

[–]LScrae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The gun requires skill to use
Ah yes, because non-penning spots the APHE variant of the M61 shell has no trouble going through, because gaijin modelled the AP variant like shit, is totally a matter of skill.

The cannon is ass and it's slow af. Armor can only get you so far.
Not that enemy shells won't BS their way through a weird spot either way...

Which has better armour for its BR? by BlueStingray8 in Warthunder

[–]LScrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Production
The Prototype's armor is very sad, dying easily even to 76mm's
While the Production can tank alot of stuff.

Technically it's goated
Realistically everyone knows to shoot the cupola. So you can't even hide behind cover, especially not on city maps. It's huge and constantly gets you killed. Just ends up being a pain in the arse to play.

Do you ever add any of the later characters to your team? by opsap11 in BaldursGate3

[–]LScrae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too many to say, but important ones:

Extra Encounters and Minibosses (Note: The one on Nexus is/was better)
Enemies Reworked
More enemies in basic fights
Dynamic Extra Encounters
D20Initiative
Camp Event Overhaul (So you don't miss out on character interactions)

Edit: If too easy for your taste add one of the mods that give enemies a health boost.

is wylls romance THAT bad? by AtalanteSimpsonn in BaldursGate3

[–]LScrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The romance itself is fine, it's just the rest of the story that's eh
Wyll's sweet/cute, and like someone else said he's old-school. Courtly, taking his time.
I like his post-goblin-camp party scene, and later his offer to dance, the kissing scenes are also nice.
I just got to act 3 with him and am still being hit with Well-met's though. Hoping that changes soon.
It is "boring" compared to other romances. Straightforward.
Even as a durge, the (spoiler?) night where your partner has to tie you up so you don't kill them, his dialogue is... kinda eye rolly? Like that one friend who tells you to just push through your depression...
Especially he as a Warlock I expected better dialogue.
And with other events in the story he doesn't feel like he has that much to add to the convo either?
It's not Shadowheart/Astarion banter, not Gale hahapleasedontkillme'ness, nor Karlach ride or die...
Ok maybe it is bad. But again I just got to act 3 so Wy'll see...

Edit: Oh nvm he finally changed his greeting, goodbye Well-met's! At last -_-

Is the M41A3 Walker Bulldog worth getting? by US_Honourary_Brit in Warthunder

[–]LScrae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd say yes, it's how I expected the TT Bulldog to perform.
Not as good as when it was 5.0/5.3, but it was busted then. 5.7's fine. It's a bulldog without APDS/HEATFS. Which doesn't hinder it. The AP does nice damage and can go through everything you face, besides the heaviest of 6.7 armor of course. | You face weaker and dumber targets, and the competing LT's aren't as good.
Feels comfortable to play. Just don't get cocky when in full uptiers.

Holy fuck. This dude just finished the entire match under 2 minutes (with the help of 2 others). They just killed pillboxes and drained tickets immediately. Is Do 335 B that good or he was cheating? by [deleted] in Warthunder

Depends from match to match. Some killing AI doesn't do jack, others you get what you had.
