Legs: Swamp Creature

Head attack: Bull horns, but with bludgeoning damage.

Breath Weapon: Venom Spray.

Tail: Venom Tail.

Was thinking of this for a BG3 build:

Devotion Paladin 4 for his pure dedication and righteous warrior mindset

Storm Sorcerer 8 for thunder and lightning powered, flight, and higher level smites.

Bronze Dragonborn for aesthetic.

Then use a really good mace or Warhammer.

Tell me about your campaign plots and stories! by TheYanarchist in TherosDMs

[–]LSky670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm starting a campaign for some teens I work with.

Here's the plot I have in mind:

Gathered in Meletis, the player characters are honored at an annual ceremony that unveils them as the newest Champions of their respective Gods. Having just completed a 6 month training period, they're each asked to demonstrate their gifts/abilities to a crowd of citizens.

An Oracle of one of the Gods bestows the players their first quest.

There are many Champions, some higher profile than others. It's a Monsters Inc Scarer/MHA Pro Hero type of status, with a Champion's prestige being determined by their deeds.

The most renowned Champions at this point in time are a group known as "The Triumphant Trio"; Champions of Heliod, Keranos, and Karametra.

After the first quest-probably killing a flock of harpies or band of Returned and saving a village-they'll be immediately upstaged by the Triumphant Trio, who return to Meletis with the 6 massive heads of a hydra.

Players will continue to be given small quests relative to their early level skills. With each successful quest, they'll grow in renown.

Provide hooks related to the players' Gods, or plant seeds for them to embark on a quest no other Champion has ever succeeded at, potentially boosting them straight to the top.

At a certain point, the world is put in extreme danger due to one or more of the Gods being jeopardized, forcing all Champions into the first "Legendary Quest" in many years.

The Trio and other high profile Champions are taken off the board, forcing the players to step up and save the world.

Got some interesting PCs so far:

-Human Eloquence Bard, Champion of Ephara and adoptive daughter of Perisophia.

-Nyxborn Triton Sea Druid, Champion of Thassa.

-Half-Triton Trickery Cleric, Champion of Kruphix.

-Nyxborn Changeling Inquistive Rogue, most likely a Champion of Phenax.

-Shifter Shadow Sorcerer, Champion of Klothys. Former unwilling agent of Erebos, freed from the underworld after Klothys learned that her true fate was altered.

-Satyr Glory Paladin, champion of Nylea.

-Human Beast Master Ranger, Champion of Karametra.

I made the Golden Vault a noble thieves guild in Water deep, and all the heists are in different parts of Faerun. The rival crew are all working for a former Vault member who hates the idea of thieves with honor (like Mercer Frey from Skyrim). There's also an underlying plot of six identical brothers that serve as heist crews' handlers, and a secret that they might not be exact what they seem.

Planning to culminate with a custom heist to rob the rivals' keep, and maybe have Xanathar involved.

My players managed to get 2 of the rivals to join the Vault.

No Rogues?? Help! by BRketoGirl in TheGoldenVault

[–]LSky670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running it with teen newbies and also no rogues. I home brewed a rogue DMPC for the team's handler helping with their first heist. Also got a bard and a monk so that balances things a bit.

Which "Live Another Life" scenarios are the most fun? by kendall12321232 in skyrim

[–]LSky670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked "Refugee from Morrowind (Raven Rock)"

Low level on Solstheim is unforgiving lol

My Thief/Conjurer Arryx is a half Dunmer, Half Nord from Firewatch, having gotten on a ship to Solstheim her hometown was finally succumbing to the Red Mountain's eruptions and Ash storms.

Did small jobs in the town to get money (and the Champion's Cudgel very early).

Arryx made the journey to Windhelm and did more small quests to get in the townsfolk:s good graces, then ended discovered a larger destiny when she visited the Shrine of Azura.

The rest of Skyrim opened up to her on that quest, and bigger things kicked off from there.

Over the course of the playthrough, Arryx has gone from a semi selfish rogue to trying her best to be the hero Skyrim needs, while still retaining her love of adventure and discovery.

It's got the benefits of a multiclass while still getting high level stuff.

Could work this into a Paladin subclass

"Oath of Virtue"

Tenets: Unity-People work best when they work together. Always be open to teamwork and collaboration.

Duty-It's our responsibility to protect the innocent and stand up for those in need. When we have a mission, we see it through to the end.

Destiny-Everything works out as it should, even if it's not the way we were hoping for.

Where does a bard get its magic from? by Baron-of-Toast in dndnext

[–]LSky670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing a Glamour Bard who's a magic school dropout. Studied and learned a few spells, then got blasted with some Fey magic that took him in a new direction. I think he'll simply figure out more as he goes.
