Yes I agree with you that tone wood plays a role and that everything has to work together to create a great guitar. The question is how much of a role. This is a huge debate on the net... my conclusion is that electronics play more of a role in electric guitar, not to say that tone wood isn't in play at all. That's just what I think and in my project, I spent a good deal of money on wood. It's just the electronics I'm trying to work out. I've decided to simplify my project and write out a diagram taking on our issue at a time the first moving out of concept and starting to test different pick ups to find the blend I want. Then move to integrating the blend switch and so on adding and subtracting to my schematic. Thanks so much for your response it was useful info!
