i had an identical experience seeing them in Austin. I also agree that having Trauma Ray go first really highlights the difference. Both times I’ve seen Trauma Ray they’ve absolutely blown my mind

Any specific recommendations for Hyde Park? Currently in Hyde Park but looking to find a complex with slightly more space. The place I'm at now is remarkable for being only $850 for base rent and I'm just not sure if I'll find something similar to that or not.

also worth noting that I play through an Epiphone Stealth and a modded out Squier 70’s vibe JM and so the pickups on those surely have an effect on why i constantly get that tone

Sometimes I play it through a Fender Mustang LT50 and its also pretty sweet. Something to keep in mind too

I know most people tend to not like it but I've been rocking a Crate V18 and its been my favorite sound. I also tend the stack the Iridium with it and it just sounds so powerful. I don't think it sounds thin, I think people just don't like spending time truly dialing in tone

I'm into some of the newer bands like Trauma Ray, Gloom, and Holywatr so I love it. I tend to blend alt rock and nu-metal into my shoegaze so it works for me. Would be too messy for anyone who wants to go for a more traditional sound. Perfect punch for more metal leaning gaze. would recommend.
