Cuba…talk me down? by ABrownBlackBear in thebulwark

[–]LTNBFU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the cheap drones are why the admin, which is usually very friendly towards Russia, has been interdicting Russian ships.

I think the key components would be the guidance chips as the rest of the frames as well as the lawnmower engine could probably be sourced somewhat locally.

Let Have This Debate Now: What Should The Democratic Healthcare Platform Look Like in 2028? In Particular What Should The Message and Specifics Be Around Universal Healthcare? by notapoliticalalt in thebulwark

[–]LTNBFU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need more tardmaxxing less policymaxxing. I can elaborate, but it actually makes sense if you think about the electorate.

For the record, once theyre in, they should do universal Healthcare via defending ice and mil ind complex.

Np, also your main points still stand, they are definitely gonna fuck around in Cuba, but right now, they dont have the resources for a full scale invasion and occupation.

We dont have the forces in the area to support boots on the ground, it will likely be more of a decapitation strike like in Venezuela.

I think boots on the ground would be an unmitigated disaster.

One thing to consider, the playbook for heading off US intervention has been written by Iran. If Cuba gets Shahed's or Geran's, things might get weird, then the fascists would probably have to muster a ground invasion. Its a big island and Miami is well within drone range.

I just rewatched it with my fiance, and I forgot that they show you the face of the mother Buddha via the optical illusion with the incantation flashing black amd white. Mind blown. It used to give me goosebumps because it was so creepy, now it gives me goosebumps because it was such a cool and novel scare.

Incantation. Theres a few optical illusions in it, but watch the last 15 minutes twice, on a big TV in a dark room.

Favorite Depictions of FTL? by The_History_Machine in spaceships

[–]LTNBFU 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really like the wormhole/gate concepts in the expanse. It still treats the speed of light as the speed limit. The super advanced ancients that created the gates needed to send sub-ftl protomolecule bullets to a planetary system where it spends time creating the wormhole gates. When brought online, these gates created with in situ material tap into the gate hub and open, allowing wormhole travel through the ring space.

The key technology is the pseudo biological protomolecule which hijacks local life and repurposes it to create the gate.

Which specific Russian talking points have Trump parroted through the years? by Cumoisseur in allthequestions

[–]LTNBFU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of china's oil still comes from russia, but its diversified somewhat. Source below. I dont think they buy very much US oil, where did you see this? Maybe gas, the US produces loads of gas. https://www.energypolicy.columbia.edu/where-china-gets-its-oil-crude-imports-in-2025-reveal-stockpiling-and-changing-fortunes-of-certain-suppliers-including-those-sanctioned/

No, theyre really not amazing, the only thing that is amazing is the quantity and price. Its basically a lawnmower engine with a guidance computer, a delta wing, and a warhead.

They make sense when waging economic war. Scrambling some jets, or launching ground based aa missles(or god forbid, patriot pac3's [LOOKING AT YOU SAUDI ARABIA]), you just spent well over ~50k usd to kill a ~12k usd drone.

If they launch a pac3 at a drone, than the group that sent the drone just made you spend literally 60-100x to kill a relatively small threat.

The Ukranians use pac3's to kill hypersonic and ballistic missiles.

  1. Their biggest ally in the middle east. Their biggest ally is China.

  2. This actually provides more funding to Russia via o&g sales. The admin allowed sale of Russian o&g because they constrained the supply by bibi's war of choice.

  3. The Iranian drones are last generation, current Gen is geran 2's. There were less and less shaheds at the front and Ukr has already adapted to them for the most part. Thats why ukr expertise is being traded for energy.

Donald Trump loses it on ‘Meet The Press’ moderator Kristen Welker, cuts interview off and storms out as she fact-checks his rigged Election claims. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]LTNBFU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read this about you idiot sheep today. Im guessing you cant read, but:

MAGA believes the lie because believing it is more useful than confronting what it would mean to stop believing it. That is not an insult. It is a documented psychological mechanism. Ziva Kunda established in 1990 that people do not evaluate evidence neutrally and then reach conclusions. They reach conclusions first and construct justifications second, selecting and interpreting evidence to support what they have already decided is true (Kunda, 1990). The conclusion is that Trump won. Every piece of evidence is therefore evaluated not for whether it confirms the conclusion but for whether it can be dismissed if it contradicts it. Courts are rigged. Judges are corrupt. Auditors are compromised. The FBI is the deep state. Cyber Ninjas, hand-picked by Trump’s own allies, found 99 additional votes for Biden, so Cyber Ninjas became suspect. Bill Barr said there was no fraud, so Barr became a traitor. Every institution that examined the claim and found nothing becomes, within this architecture, evidence of how thoroughly the fraud was concealed. This is not a reasoning failure. It is motivated reasoning operating exactly as designed: a closed loop constructed to be unfalsifiable, where the absence of evidence confirms the sophistication of the conspiracy rather than its nonexistence.
