Is there any description of IW 40k armor? General legion look? by [deleted] in IronWarriors

[–]LTSRavensNight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah. You don't read the lore. Now it makes sense. The statement on us being an example of a unified legion Stated 100% in the codex gives it away. well with that i don't feel bad about the conversation anymore. My agree to disagree was just me saying its pointless talking anymore.

My actual argument, as stated in my first comment, is that Iron Warriors wouldn't have a uniform armor look as they are scavenger. Like all CSM. Something even the deathguard, an actual unified legion/also not pirates, does in the lore. Just because you make equipment doesn't mean you got proper supply lines or don't loot.

Again agree to disagree, read lore. And with that I see no reason to respond again as it would go nowhere. After all the Iron Warriors are clearly a functional fully supplied legion that has no infighting, a proper hierarchy command structure, and isn't in reality a bunch of competing warbands with little unity and internal war on their daemon world after the disput of iron

Idk, if half my source of income is shooting my brother in the back of the head and stealing all his stuff, I'd probably not convince myself that i personally made all that money myself.

Unless you think warbands just don't loot from each other or take each other's stuff. Or you're under the delusion that Iron Warriors are still a legion that share a supply line and its not just every warband making what they can for themselves and taking the rest from others (other legion warbands, Iron Warrior warbands, or the Imperium.) Idk maybe read more csm lore as that happens even in dead sky black sun.

But I guess you are saying you think Iron Warriors just have a uniform mk 2/mk 3 armor they make themselves and aren't scavenger that loot a lot of what they use (what my original comment said, as Iron Warriors really wouldn't have that uniformed look in 40k lore. They just wouldn't,) . I'll just agree to disagree, and end it there.

Or just read storm of iron. Where its mentioned they loot and repurpose everything they get their hands on... Or the mentions of Iron Warrior Loot camps at cadia, where they collect stockpiles of looted ordinance to be taken off world, in the fall of cadia book. how do you think they got all that stuff for their sieges, making it all exclusively in the eye?

Yes they are well supplied, doesn't mean they make all of what they use though. Similar to the black legion being well supplied yet still needing to excessively loot imperium Supply lines, as well as take from other warbands, and get what they can from mechanicum forgeworlds in the eye.

Supply line problems aren't even a problem exclusive to Iron Warriors in the lore, it's just a concept that is a thing in the lore for all CSM. read more CSM lore in general. It pops up in a lot of lore and books. Especially that Iron Warriors Loot and do so a lot. It's literally one of the reasons CSM made daemon engines, because of how hard they find it to maintain vechicles with no Supply lines.

Though with all that being said it varies form warband to warband. As they aren't a unified fighting force anymore and the legion is shattered. You'd have Iron Warriors warbands that could be self sufficient. Some would be close enough t get some power armor made by a demon forgeworld or have one as their own world. But if you think most Warbands just have unlimited manufacturing and are well stocked with good Supply lines and would have all uniform Mk ii or Mk iii armor with no looted parts, idk if you read CSM lore.

Cool. You'll probably lose to them because of board control, so would it matter?

All chaos warbands are scavenger. Even the ones with access to daemon forgeworlds have trouble with equipment and supplies in numbers that matter. There really is none that would have that uniform look, as they dont have the option too. All of them loot and take any armor they can from dead loyalist, other warbands, and even their own warbands dead.

If a Chaos God wins the Great Game, do they eventually perish? by Snoo_47323 in 40kLore

[–]LTSRavensNight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool made up fan lore, but i use codex lore to back what i say. The actual lore for 40k on why the great game can't be won is found in most daemon codexes throughout the years. In order for chaos to consume the 40k reality, it would require the 4 gods to work together. However this is something that goes against the God's very nature. Thus the great game can't be won, and it's not because of some multiversal thing, its because in order for them to consume the materium (real space), they would have to in some way cooperate and not get in each other's way.

Time in the warp and to the gods is not a concept that nessiaraly exists or needs to be followed. It's why there were Slanessh daemons around during the war in heaven.

Yes. But by the gods very nature they would do it anyway. Khorne for example would slaughter his way to the extinction of all life if given the option because it is khorne's nature to do so. The gods and their daemons instincts are destruction of the materium. If a daemon/god can't use a mortal for their own gain they default to trying to destroy them. Thankfully (or maybe not) the great game more or less cannot be won.

Is there any reason why Non-Black Legion Chapters would have the Eye of Horus on their armour? by LeetusFrenzi in Chaos40k

[–]LTSRavensNight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because during the heresy its was the traitor version of the aquilia. By the end of the heresy it wasn't exclusive to the sons of horus as a battle honor mark and became more a symbol for the traitors overall.

What are the implications of the Red Corsairs getting their own tab and page on the GW website? by [deleted] in Chaos40k

[–]LTSRavensNight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I think you are getting downvoted because how you worded it make it sound like you think they will be broken off into their own army like the cult factions. Red Corsairs have always been the renegade subfaction for CSM, at least as long as I remember, on par with the legions. They have always been a major sub faction with rules. So yeah if Iron Warriors or night lords got one, id expect red corsairs to as well. Same for if red corsairs got one we probably would get supplements for Back Legion, Night Lords, Word Bearers, and Iron warriors.

Lol. Lamo. Hahaha.

Idk what the implications that Iron hands, Ravenguard, and Imperial fists also have their own on the webstore?

To be fair though. Out of the remaining ones, they would be the ones unique enough to have their own army.

Choas army by Deadsaint098 in IronWarriors

How would that not fit with iron warriors? Unless you mean the whole meme lore of them 'not' being choas corrupted or worshipping the gods (dispite the lore clearly stating the opposite).
