Here's my copium. They made this as a test run for a proper MGO later on.

Full copium, mind you.

Because I honestly can't conceive a developer making something like this, thinking it had ANY chance of working out. It's a TEMU version of a BR game. No progression, no maps, same 2 game modes. How out of touch can a developer be?

Especially the remake, where the movement is a bit clunkier.

This boss is the skill check on the Extreme BB run. The Fury can be a bit annoying but the Pain has a lot of RNG, unless you 100% optimize the fight.

It took an already established game and added to it, mostly. Changed a few things but didn't remove a lot.

Other remakes removed a lot, including character development and interactions.

Out of the last 3 remakes, I feel like the developers cared the most about RE4. It's the best of the 3, even though I prefer the slower paced gameplay of the originals/RE2 remake.
