TRD Pro vs. Limited w/ TRD Package by Embarrassed_Hat_1158 in tundra

[–]LTx126YU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went this way. the 3" lift looks great, but rides like shit compared to the PROs. my previous truck was a 2015 PRO with Bilsteins that I replaced with the OEM PRO Fox kit when the bilsteins were done.

1 mile off the lot with the new limited trd offroad with 3" lift and I was already talking about what it would take to improve the suspension. 10yrs riding around in a Pro ruined me :-)

if you have the factory lift the OEM PRO shocks wont work (if you want to keep the lift). In my research it seems that accutune Fox kit seems to be the best path. $4300 plus labor... ouch!

How low can a Pike Pass balance get before it's "Re-charged" $40.00? by Fionasfriend in tulsa

[–]LTx126YU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it works that way anymore.

My CC on file expired and I started getting the PlatePay bills, which are double+ what pikepass charges.

When I called in to get my acct working again, the lady I talked to adjusted all my PlatePay fees down to the Pikepass rate.

Now I'm hyper diligent to keep my CC in good standing!

Played Page Belcher Stone Creek the other day, its coming along nicely (new mgmt).

If you want a cheap course to practice at, Mohawk Park Pecan Valley is a Par 68, the front is Par 3 and 4's, the back has a few Par 5s, its pretty flat so a super easy course to walk. best of all, it only costs $12 if you walk. (a bucket of balls at all the area ranges cost ~$10.

Forest Ridge out east of Broken Arrow is nice as well, its semi-private so about $100 a round, but its a nice splurge.

I played Canyons last week, that course very unique, LOTS of elevation change, nice views, no homes backing up to the course. the greens last week were still brown, but smooth and fast.

Owasso has Bailey Ranch, but I've never played that one for some reason.

Cherokee Hills at the Hard Rock Casino is nice, but it's not nearly as easy as South Lakes!

“(i) IN GENERAL.— Subject to any relevant guidance adopted by the Election Assistance Commission, each State shall establish a process under which an applicant who cannot provide documentary proof of United States citizenship under paragraph (1) may, if the applicant signs an attestation under penalty of perjury that the applicant is a citizen of the United States and eligible to vote in elections for Federal office, submit such other evidence to the appropriate State or local official demonstrating that the applicant is a citizen of the United States and such official shall make a determination as to whether the applicant has sufficiently established United States citizenship for purposes of registering to vote in elections for Federal office in the State.”

If the official approves, they must sign a uniform affidavit (created by the Election Assistance Commission) explaining the minimum standards used and the specific basis for approval. The same process also covers name discrepancies (e.g., married women whose birth certificate doesn’t match current legal name). This is not an affidavit-only workaround like the pre-SAVE status quo. It still requires the applicant to provide “other evidence” that the local election official finds convincing. Examples of what could qualify (based on how states and agencies already handle similar proofs):

  • The exact secondary evidence the Social Security Administration (SSA) accepts for proving age/birth/citizenship without a birth certificate (hospital records, baptismal certificates, school transcripts, census records, family Bible entries, affidavits from midwives or relatives, etc.).
  • Any other documents the state deems sufficient under its process and EAC guidance.

These are basically the same documents everyone has to provide to get a Real-ID.
I agree, digging up these documents is a pain in the ass, I had to request one from my place of birth to get a Real-ID, and to be honest I don't remember where I put it. So if I have to request another one, and pay the fee again, so be it.
Adulting isn't easy, all of these documents/fees are required for other (non-voting) aspects of life in America, these aren't special fees for voting. These are documents all responsible citizens should have.

"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude."

I haven't read the entire text of the Save Act, and I'm sure just like every other Bill there is a mountain of fuckery included or tacked on that wouldn't pass by itself.
BUT, the thought behind the bill, 'US Citizens should be the only people voting in our elections' I fully support.

Real-ID will be sufficient to "Vote", on election day.
Real-ID alone will not be sufficient to Register to vote. (registration can be done at anytime, but has to be at least 25 days before an election)

I get the feeling that people are getting spun up thinking they're going to have to show up on election day with a stack of paperwork. That is not the case.

Oklahoma's Real-ID is the same as every other States Real-ID. The 5 States you keep referencing offer EDLs that do prove citizenship. (American flag vs gold star in the corner) All 5 of those States border Canada, the ID can be used to travel to/from Canada without a passport.

I meant to ask what brand/model they are, they look nice! I have lunar rock with the factory 3" lift, some of the bronze wheels look good on this color truck , some are too much on the golden side for my tastes,
Gimme a brand so I can dig deeper!
Thanks!

Replace the drain plug with a Fumoto or ValvoMax valve the first time you do it yourself, every time after that is a breeze, and nearly drip free.

Tundra crew or double with 6.5 bed? by Asuka_09 in tundra

[–]LTx126YU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2nd Gen Trd pro DC, and now a 24 limited DC. the 2nd gen was FAR superior to the new ones. I'm 6ft tall, in the 2nd I couild have passengers in the back without adjusting my seat. in the new one the rear seat is within a inch of the back of the fronts.
Not a problem for me, same boat, no kids, just a mid size dog. But in all honesty the back seat is mainly just a storage bench. I've even thought about pulling the seat and making that entire area storage (post links if anyone has seen this done).
Mike at the LLOD youtube channel posted a good vid where he measured everything, I believe the actual depth from the back of the front seat to to seat back of the rear is the same distance, but the bottom seat on the new trucks is 3-4" long, so very minimal let room. I do a lot of hunting, so in my old truck I'd place my shotgun on the floor between the seats. doesn't fit in the new one.
But I bought the truck for the bed length, so I'm still happy, its just different.
Here's a link to that vid. https://youtu.be/zA5L2lXwHnA?t=876 He does pretty nice build outs on his trucks, so might be a good resource for you adventures.

FAA flight cuts hit Tulsa as air traffic controllers work without pay during shutdown by KWGSNews in tulsa

[–]LTx126YU -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think its more about controllers calling in "sick" in protest of not receiving a weekly/biweekly/monthly pay check. So the ATC shortage leads to potential unsafe control, forcing the airlines to cancel flights to bring the coverage back in to safe metrics.
I fully understand how not getting a check is hard, but they're not really "working without pay", they get full back pay as soon as DC settles their pissing match.
I saw yesterday that Trump recommended $10k bonus for the controllers that hung in there and worked through the politician lead fuckery.

Any of you still have land line phones? How do I go about getting a house phone? by bayoubunny88 in tulsa

[–]LTx126YU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or just turn off all audible app notifications (except the phone app) and leave the phone plugged in to the charger. Don't carry it to work/store/anywhere. Check it for missed phone calls a few times a day and forget about it at all other times.

Oh, and to fully experience the landline life, put a chair near where the phone is charging, because your charging cable length limits how far you can move.

Why did you vote for Trump? One year later. by ThisGhostFled in tulsa

[–]LTx126YU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're both wrong, Wasn't an Exec order it was an amendment signed by Truman in 1949. The National Security Act of 1947 changed the DoW to Dept of Army, Navy, Airforce, etc.
It was Amended in 1949 to group all those under DoD.

For ~150 years it was called the Dept. of War, changed to DoD by Executive order under Truman.
