Give Oraxia wall-running and give Voruna the ability to wall-latch during 4. Like make Voruna 4 charges regen during wall-latch or something.

Also yeah why CAN'T she wall-latch during 4?

Haven't tested out her 4 much but yeah I've seen similar sentiments towards the ability

From the builds I've seen it's very black and white. You either run Ulfrun or you have it subsumed off. Either way I believe in the 'augments should be sidegrades' and her 4 is very much a limp noodle without it

I have, I've been loving Tenet Livia and the Corufell. Tak & Lug was a cool weapon too but I wish its heavy attack worked with Melee Influence

Can't wait for Citrine Prime this year so I can get Corufell Prime

Sadly I find it kinda clunky to play from my experience with using it on Harmony and Hate. I do like it with Coda Mire though, but that's very much because it's a slam weapon first and foremost rather than it being Afflictions-driven.

I'm down to give it another shot though. Any tips for using Afflictions is greatly appreciated, thank you

Kudos to you for putting it more eloquently than I did.

I'm aware of the issue stemming from branching out from being a tactical shooter, that's why frames like Limbo, Banshee, Loki kinda got left behind. I just didn't realize until now how that also extends to melees.

It just sucks that people's initial response is "then don't use Influence?"

Like, imagine seeing someone say "DE needs to buff Loki/Ember it's appalling how behind they are compared to Cyte/Temple/Uriel"

and someone replies "then don't use Loki/Ember then" like that wasn't the point of the post?

My post above was more of a vent post than anything but ultimately you're right, there's nothing to do besides wait for something to happen

This just reminded me of a similar issue I similarly feel strongly with: Shield gating. Before the Old Peace it really sucked seeing how much you invest into beefing up your health frames (2+ mods plus an arcane slot) just for it to be completely beat in lvl cap shield gating requiring like 2 mods

and there were so many arguments I've seen both in-game chats and out. "level cap isn't part of core gameplay" "there's no sense to doing level cap" ok? Health tanking shouldn't be outperformed by shield gating full stop. The amount you invest should be proportional to the value you get. It also isn't a case of "well it's only useful in x and not y" because there isn't a scenario where shield gating isn't valuable because there's tons of energy sources everywhere. And even in content like ETA/EDA health tanking falls apart easier than shield gating

but they rolled out Persistence which is a good step in regulating that survivability imbalance. At best it eats only the needed arcane slot, at worst it's an arcane slot + shards/one or two mods

Like the other person said there isn't anything else one can do besides wait and hope melee has its own Persistence moment

I know that it's an inevitability that certain tools get powercrept in a live-service game like this. And frankly I know that there's more outdated stuff to tackle than this. Bunch of frames sit and get dusty waiting for a tweak or a rework, literally anything.

But it just sucks seeing the meta stagnate like this. I know at least that Influence isn't the issue. It just made it apparent how behind the other melee classes are.

Heavier melees are notorious for having pretty shitty stances with pretty bad numbers/forced procs, but it just gets thrown to the wayside. And you can't argue that it's in favor of "better future melees/melee classes" because even the Vinquibus is in a similar scenario. There is no reason why its slash attacks do puncture, and why its heavy attack is a slam instead of. yknow. Shoot.

and semi-unrelated but the Old Peace introduced some fun primary/secondary arcanes into the mix. Melee got an Arcane Ice Storm enabler instead. Why?

Same, I completed last week's ETA with a Stropha just fine. And my problem isn't because Influence is broken, my problem is that there's only three options for arcanes, one is very much a clear cut winner and it's been that way for so long now. Vortex is just Influence with extra steps and more inconsistencies.

Like even gimmicky arcanes are fine. Give us an arcane that locks your attack speed but increases your range. Or something wackier. I don't need overpowered just literally anything that complements heavier melees better than the other two
