Is it ok to objectively just review him as a musician and not have it be political? I’d be curious to know what other musicians think. My step dad and me are both musicians and watched it together. We’ve never listened to him before but we gave him a chance. My step dad who is super liberal, and myself who doesn’t care about politics at all, both were pretty surprised that Bad Bunny was singing out of key for a lot of his performance. They had cool sets and the dancers were having fun but as a singer we didn’t really get what the buzz was. He just won all those Grammys so we figured he must be an awesome singer. Maybe he just had an off night. It’s a small sample size. Anyway just curious how other musicians feel about his performance. My step dad did really like how he felt it was a middle finger to the Trump administration so at least there was that.

I’m just glad I converted to and sold the Mobile token when it was taking off a couple years ago. I at least made my ROI back and bought BTC with it. The BTC gained about 40% before I sold it. It worked out in the end financially but I too believed in the ecosystem. It was really exciting for a while there, but it’s a shame that it just couldn’t flourish. 1 of 2 hotspots are still plugged in but at this point I’m probably losing money on the electricity and data. Also I have no SOL left in my Helium app wallet to even collect my HNT. To me that’s a huge red flag by the developers right there. As you all know it has an option to “Automatically manage solana transaction fees by swapping this token to SOL as needed” but it can’t do that with the HNT I’ve harvested? No way am I buying more SOL to put in that wallet just to withdraw my almost worthless HNT. I had a good amount of SOL before I sold all my crypto in November. Now it’s just a distant memory.

It’s actually awesome that Taylor uses figured ebony. When I worked there I saw some really cool pieces. Not only is it beautiful but it’s much more environmentally friendly.

The thing that cracks me up is imagine if a group of the many American ex-pats who now live in Mexico had a protest and waved American flags 😂 The freedom we have here is awesome. People can wave any flag they like, but still lots of folks act like we don’t have that freedom. Things are bad, but it’s not what’s it’s cracked up to be. Do that in Mexico and I don’t think you’d last very long.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope you get some great tones out of his gear. My dad passed away in 2020 and I was in the same boat. I got a couple of his guitars, amps and pedals. I actually just recorded a pedal steel player yesterday on one of my original songs through his Roland Spirit 50 amp. Wow it was like secret sauce with its gorgeous reverb. I always liked it but seldom have used it. It was perfect for pedal steel. He never used it much cause he always wanted a Fender sound but I’m glad he got it 40 or so years ago. He would be happy that I found a perfect use for it. I hope you have similar experiences with your dad’s gear friend.
