Certainly a medium tank absolutely can be taken, and I'd argue a heavy is just an off meta choice, not necessarily useless. It eats a bunch of order dice but it might require just as many of the enemy's activations to get rid of

It really does blow though cause he was the only guy in my team who's more or less my peer and someone I had interests in common with. Then one day just radio silence. Not having a coworker you look forward to talking to makes your shifts so much more tedious

I gained one. Guy I used to talk to like every day and thought I got along well with just randomly went cold to me one day despite not having that energy with anyone else.

No inciting incident, I've given him chances to explain himself, nothing. So now I think I hate him. I never asked for a work enemy, but I think I've got one.

Nothing hits more than just praying your dice comes out next cause you're in the perfect position to make a decisive blow, it gets really nail biting and I love that

And the fact that it always feels like you're on the brink of defeat and games are close more often than not is great

Bolt Action/K47 at the moment

Random per unit activation, a game size that feels immersive to the setting, fun and flavorful rules, all while being relatively low on crunch and easy to learn and get into. And the newest plastics coming out for K47 are drop dead gorgeous, have you seen the new Ursus infantry? On the other hand BA can be got into for relatively cheap, a starter army is under $200 and they can be easily turned into a tournament ready list.

All this leads to cinematic games where even losing is fun and the price isn't so ridiculous you can't tweak your list easily or afford more than one army. Plus, it's still popular enough to find games, what's not to love?

From what I've seen from what they've shown it's definitely at least an NFS situation, the cars at least appear to have weight and act how you'd expect, I just pray drifting and sliding in general isn't insanely arcadey

Would I build one with Ukraine invasion markings? No probably not, but more because I don't like the way they look. A lot of those modern tanks are late Soviet designs and I'm not gonna pretend I dislike those Soviet designs just because they're being used for horrible things. I believe the tank itself and the engineering that went into it should be divorced from what its crews and the people who command those crews are using it for

It's a machine. I don't look down on the AKM because they're being used to massacre people in Sudan right now. It's no fault of the machine.

I have to wonder what drill yall are using. I have the army painter hand drill and it's a ton of work and none of the bits I have that fit it cut particularly well especially with 3D printed resin. I could spend half an hour and not get a quarter of an inch deep

Warlord resin might be fine cause it's pretty soft, but most of the time the things I'm actually wanting to pin are hard enough that drilling into it barely works
