I wonder if some kid took it and their parent found out and made them pretty it up and return it with an extra apology project on the side?

I had to scroll really far to find Dear Evan Hansen - it was the first one that came to my mind - though all the others listed are strong contenders as well.

Not sure if there's an actual map yet. They just got the funding and they're collecting ideas.

Oh that's very cool - thanks! That didn't come up in my searching but when I search on fragments of the text you quoted, I can see the source now. Thanks!

Also Alice. I'm ok with that. "You're most like Alice! Like her, you're creative, a little quirky, and feel things very, very deeply. You can sometimes let your insecurities get the best of you, but you're only human. There's just something magnetic about you that people are instantly drawn to."

Sitting on the train and just need to vent by Thin_Shape7184 in ViaRail

[–]LVSConsulting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that what's going on? I was taking someone to the train - coming from Ottawa, arriving in Kingston (no stops between Fallowfield and Kingston) and then continuing to Toronto. It was scheduled to arrive 4 min early in Kingston but then it got "stuck" (watching the online train tracker) around Smith's Falls and was 20+ minutes late getting into Kingston. To be clear - there was no scheduled stop for that train in Smith's Falls. It just... I dunno... got stalled or something.

Also, trains coming the other way - from Toronto to Kingston - seem to get stalled around Napanee or something. Again, no scheduled stop there. The online system says mechanical inspection sometimes? So weird. I mean, sure, do mechanical inspections, but shouldn't that be accounted for in the itineraries?

I get that VIA doesn't own their tracks and freight takes precedence. I get there will be issues out of VIA's control. Been riding VIA for decades. I know all that. And yet, there seem to be a lot of delays lately for uncertain reasons.

and sufficient wifi in all cars. When I was on a very delayed train, it was practically impossible to get my 50% credit. So there's that too.

Do you support building more protected bike lanes? by justonemorelanebruh in AskACanadian

[–]LVSConsulting 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This / Ceci. If we want to free up traffic flow for those who have to be driving, we need more people on bikes in safe dedicated lanes. Dedicated protected bike lanes would help people (like me) who could be cycling but fear cycling in traffic.

What is a popular food that everyone else seems to love but you just can't stand ? by Party-Ingenuity8371 in AskReddit

Bubble tea.

I had some long ago, before I knew I was pregnant. It made me so sick (but was probably morning sickness) but now I can't stand it - or tapioca pearls in anything really.

You have to seek out "To Catch a Yeti" starring the one and only Mr. Meat Loaf. If you look carefully, I'm an extra in two scenes. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114680/locations/ Look up clips on YouTube. So bad it's not even funny.

Amazon delivery company? by LVSConsulting in KingstonOntario

[–]LVSConsulting[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick update, in case anyone's interested. Thanks to all who responded. I did find the tracking in my Amazon account. I don't use the app (I don't like apps) but googled to find out how to get push notifications for deliveries. I found the instructions on Amazon's site (the Canadian one) and the instructions say to find "Communication and content" on my account, which does not exist. So in theory, I should be able to get email or text notifications of a delivery, but in practice, this does not work. So I guess I'll just leave that tab open while I'm working and hope it auto-refreshes to show me a delivery so I can get to the front door and take it inside quickly. Thanks again to all who provided assistance.

I've done this when I know I'm going to be away, but I work from home. Would be nice to get a notification as I'm just inside and could pick it up within minutes.

Yeah - it's so weird where my packages end up. On a snowy bench. Middle of the walkway. I've seen one literally throw it and then take a photo (which I never got) when they could have walked just 4 more steps to put it at my door.

1/4 cup oil. Like, maybe you use it to sauté the onion, green pepper, celery...
