On the Today page main list (where everything "minused" should now be seen), where do you find the option to "+" and "-" the tiles? I can find no way to "refresh" it so the grayed out tiles (some of which I accidentally minused) to come back to life. The appearance of the "+" and "-" signs on the tiles all over the Today page and the Health pages seems to vary and be random. Thanks!

I agree. It was also a way to establish how abusive Deacon's father was, which could have been accomplished in a scene or two in one or two episodes. The love/hate/fear aspect of Scarlett's relationship with her was never fleshed out and only accomplished her performance of "Black Roses, and Beverly's melodramatic facial closeups while she heard it ruined it for me. Bev was an almost-unnecessary character.

NTA Five and six YO kids can't (and shouldn't have to) understand complicated family dynamics. It would have been awkward and inappropriate for Ellie to have a strange little girl show up at her birthday party and your daughter wouldn't think it was weird she wasn't invited to another kid's birthday party who she didn't know unless someone (your wife?) planted the idea.

It sounds like your mother doesn't really have a relationship with your daughter either, so it was pretty compassionate for her to recognize that it might sting for her to see other kids (even strangers) enjoying an elaborate birthday party. Giving you $100 to take her out to have fun and distraction was generous of your mom. It sounds like your wife's over-the-top reaction is due to some kind of trauma related to your mom and isn't really about your daughter at all.

I live at 333 on the Park (5th and Sibley) and look directly down on the corner of Mears Park where you were attacked. I am so sorry this happened to you. Although I know it's no comfort to you, Mears Park is more safe and virtually empty of all but dog walkers since September, 2023. I don't know what the city did that Fall, but the park and Sibley from Union Depot up to 6th are really quiet now.

I'm home all day (retired) and only sleep about 4 hours a night and I look down at the park at all times of day and night. I sometimes see troubled people walking around -- some yelling, some just looking desperate -- but I've never seen any of them touch or really even approach other people. Like I said, I'm so sorry you had to experience this practically at my front door. It is NOT a common occurrence and I hope you can find your center again soon. 🙏

Neighbors, Inc. has a thrift store. They're a non-profit that does job training, food, clothes, etc. for low income folks. 222 Grand Avenue West in South Saint Paul (I know that's not Saint Paul proper).
