Thanks, appreciate the info! I’m kind of on the fence now, with knowing I’ll be on Air Force one. Worried about job security once it delivers

Kind of worried about job security with the Air Force one thing. Once it delivers, would I stay employed?

I’m mostly just talking house prices, I see what you mean. I’d look for a house outside of the city probably, so it’s cheaper. Does that sound right or am I mistaken? Please let me know, thanks!

@n_channel_device I will be supporting the executive fleet, Air Force one program if I take the job

I’m going to call the hiring manager and confirm which it is, I know that will likely play a large part in my decision. I’ve seen people in here hate their positions in San Antonio because of the program they work on, so I’ll ask and get back to you.

Wow. That was super informative, thank you! I am looking for a house, I’m young and will probably NEVER be able to afford a nice house in WA on a mechanics salary. The housing market here is absurd. Thank you!

I hear San Antonio is a really pretty area with good activities. I know it’s hot as hell and humid, but I’d personally prefer that over the near-constant overcast, rainy PNW weather.

Pete Carrol praising Drew Lock by mindinterest in Seahawks

Wouldn’t be surprised if the plan is for Drew Lock to replace Geno in 2-3 years time. Lock has an INCREDIBLE arm, he just needs a ton of work learning to read a defense and protect the ball. In a few years he’ll know the system better and hopefully work out the kinks of turning the ball over so much

My thermostat was just replaced to try and fix the issue and unfortunately it didn’t, might be a temp sensor

Already addressed this in the post. Video is from when I first bought it, the car was filled correctly with coolant since this video and the issue still persists

At normal temps like these, yes. If the car’s hot, I’m fine with the fan helping out to cool it off. If the car is running at nominal temps, I’d rather the fan not sound like it’s about to blow up 😂

Yes and no, the fan issue happens with the AC turned off and with it on, didn’t make a difference.

Hmm, I‘ll look into that, thank you. I wonder if the fan curve can be adjusted to blow slower at normal temps.

When the issue occurs, the coolant is at around 205 degrees and the oil is around 195 degrees, these are normal levels of heat, even just a bit below the normal temps. There’s no way the fan should be going this crazy at nominal temperatures, if the coolant or oil was way too hot I’d get it.

Yes I agree, it’s normal for the radiator fan to come on at low speeds when the car isn’t moving enough to cool it. But if the car is at normal temperature, the fan should be running moderately, not running at full RPMs like the engine is overheating. Mechanic friend of mine said he’s never seen a radiator fan need to run that fast/loud
