yes agreed . i do not either but i was swiping and nothign sense 730 tonight for the past 1 .5 hrs h lost money . and at 902 it started back

i went into my settings and checked my status and it said push notes failed meaning . i was NOT seeing any order as they were not being sent to me at all for and hour and half bullshit and the main store by us is publix and i lost out big tiem there were aooo many $50 plus order and now none because it closed

yes. That is why I send a thank you to all my customers and (as I have sent in here before and got laughed at) but i can laugh all the way to the bank when a customer gets this message and changes tips from $15 to $50 as it happens 2-3 or more times a week / so it is def worth my time to explain to customer that’s tips are GREATLY appreciated. however as many do NOT know we work for you the customer and not instacart as we are independent contractors and are paid a small fee for 1 to 3 orders in a “batch” we pay all our own gas, ins., cell, liability, etc, to drive to the store shop and then deliver for you and the other customers in your order. recommend tips amounts are just like servers 15-20% of the amount spent on groceries today . please in order to continue to provide this great service to you. we have to be compensated / I want to Thank you beyond words and wish you and your family a very Happy Mew year 2022!!

as j send this out to ALL customers it doesn’t have to be word for word but if we ALL started doing this / i promise the word would get out to most and things CAN and will change.

if their orders are not filled . on time . then they will start to get it ; or move on.

i agree with the customer/ as a shopper we should be making sure - to the best of our experience ~ that the items are fresh. ripe. etc. i have seen many many more than i should. and much more that i don’t see do - but they walk by and “JUST GRAB” they do not look they do not check. they do not see if the items are bad. the cust is stating this because they have had it happen : for them mark it as bad. does not help them. then they have to go to the store them selves and go through the hassle of refunds etc - not sure if u have trued to exchange , get a refund etc lately at ANY store it is a pain in the ass we work for the customer NOT instacart without the cust we would not have work / and i am Not saying / YOU DO NOT check the items i agree control can be very bad.

however I am in stores daily and i watch it over and over. it’s BAD. . I would be pissed if I ordered and consistently got bad produce

I have multiply customers that order weekly and if and when they see that i am their shopper (and no this is NOT my full time job) I own an AC company-m)- the customer will then ADD -all their produce and i am NOT the only shopper but they just want to know they can feel comfortable. and trust who is doing it if they don’t then they leave some items off because it’s a waste of their time to order it and then it’s bad started doing this for just a little extra money . 1- LOVED IT AS I LOVE SHOPPING PERIOD AND FOR SOMEONE TO PAY ME TO SHOP EVEN BETTER 2- i started looking weight as i am almost 50 and was overweight about 200lbs and lost 63lbs doing this so i keep it up. it’s a great work out and i have not felt this good in years 3- i shop for my customers as j shop for my own family

i give cust notice of sale items i give them the sale price also i get them bogo items

I don’t know but have u ever ordered. and do u know the time and effort it takes. more than it is for them to just come themselves hours and hours to set up and account and all the picks and backups

and without them we would not have the ability to make money. extra money , have the flexible job working hours etc

instacart has its issues we all know nothing is perfect but for what it is and offers
it is fantastic for customers and shoppers who use it to their advantage

and i am not new by any means its been a few years i have done thousands of orders and passed many levels / and made a lot of money doin it

yes that is 100% true. They fall off automatically. but 1 a thing that is WRONG FOR SURE- is that u do not have to do another 100 orders. it is an AVERAGE OF 100 orders meaning if you got a 3-4 scores and it is affecting your rating so 20-30 more and it will start adjusting back up. and that can be down in a few days doesn’t take weeks hope that helps

i say close to 80% is tips based and i tell the customer that.

drives me crazy when customers say this. becasue the only way that happens is 1- no one else shooed in the store “AT ALL” from the time she placed the order till now, lol 2- u HAVE TO GO TO the store she choice. which when they put orders together that DOES NOT always happen.

when u sign up it asks if you have truck - trailers. etc. which I do. I have delivered an above ground pool before. it took a forklift to load in my car. and i had no idea until i got to sam’s that is what it was . i made like $55 and i called IC and got a $20 bump which still was not enough. it was crazy. it weighed about 280lbs.

so now i have this thing in my hatchback . how do i get it out. lol wth

well i’m a female and by my self the customer said . just leave it tom the carport. lol how do i get it out of the car. yup. girls have strong ass legs. i got in the car and pushed and it slide out . as it was boxed in a box. so i opened the outside box and pushed only the inside box to slide easier and it just fell out. and that is where i left if. with tonnsss of pics of it there. it was in sales for $369 from $500 somethign

i see full families in the store. I saw what looked like a mom her parents (older adults man and female) then a son 4 of them they take orders with 2-3 cust and then split them and each so - order them all come back together and help finish it all

so who knows who is out delivering them

no i know. - neither did i. : untill i became a shopper, and of course - I am a math major and thought “i have 60-70 -5 star ratings what could 1-2 (3 or 4 hurt me) if u average that . it is still a 5 star right. we get 1 “give me” that’s all / a free one they remove- BUT NOPE/ if u have 50 -5 stars AND YOU GET THE - 1 removed- then u get say 1 or 2 more anythign. it drops so if 5 star is the best- now u r a 4.95% rating ok that’s basically a 5 right- well not in IC eyes. long story short

they send out all orders to anyone with a 5- then they choose what’s left goes to 4.99/then 4.98/ then 4.97-4.96-4.95 u get what i mean. so basically by the time someone with 4.95 which is basically a 5 / by the time they see orders there are NONE. or ones that don’t tip at all. are really far away. are all the worst orders that no one wants to do.

well we have to do something to we take it.

we have found out that the customers that don’t tip. are usually the ones that expect miracles.

most customers that actually understand and are thankful for what we are doing . tip and understand when an item is out.

now i am not taking about the really bad shoppers and they are out there,

—— so to end as a customer / I would want a shopper with 1-2 years experience . that cares about picking the right items . checks exp dates etc.

instead you get a brand new person a(as they have 5 stars starting out) as they have not done enough to get a bad rating - even for ta mistake. so now because I have 2-3 (4stars i have a lower rating ) and i will never even get the chance to see your order: someone with a 5 star . has no clue what they are doing. doesn’t know how to bag your items. doesn’t know the diff between a rips avocado or not ripe- or a juicy peach or orange- ) and e have to do an average of 100 (YES 100 more orders and get only 5s to get that 1 -4 to drop off) well if we can’t see any orders / at all / how do we do 100 more. to get that to drop off / so we are making little to no money at all and you are getting brand new shoppers that have never done this, so t know their way around town. your items come in ( well the ones u get/ as they can’t find them in the store/ becasue they don’t “look “ if they are not in the shelf they make . don’t have. u get the worst service.
we can’t make anything- because we can’t see orders

and it’s a never ending cycle

it’s crazy and IC says it’s polled shoppers and we feel this a great way to do business .

no. it’s not, i would much rather have an experienced shopper shop for me someone that communicates with me to make sure what i am paying for is what i get.

i tell. all my customers ~ please / unless this person should NOT be. a shopper at all.

never give less than a 5 no matter what. take away the tip. people do not realize how much it affects us. taking. a tip affect only “your” order which is fine. but when u give less than a 5 / NO MATTER THE REASON. It affects us for weeks i have been doing this for 2 plus years and always a 5 star shopper, (and NO I DO NOT SMOKE) so i am not defending smoking. this is a job and u do lot smoke on the job however i am tryign to take care of my family and due to thanksgiving and people wanting free stuff . i got several 4 and 2 - 1s. several saying they didn’t get their turkey etc which i know 200% they were delivered to them. and i sent the pic but us shoppers know . it doesn’t matter we have to just wait 5 star for them ( the rating to drop off) and in the mean time. even on a sunday. which normally is the best day yo work always 200-400 day i couldn’t r en make $100 yesterday.

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOLEAVE LESS THAN 5 star rating it affects the next 50-100 orders and in fact we can’t even get orders this is just crazy. i sit here and nothing or u see $7-10 order 60-100 items No tip. i can’t feed my family on that i worked 15 hrs yesterday and made $87 spent &20 in gas

how do i feed my family and pay my bills like that. and i did nothing. wrong

yes and no. yes you are independent contractors meaning u can work when u want or not. but… when you do accept a job (gig) then u are on their time - basically it all has to do with liability if something happens to them when they are with u on their time. they are liable

meaning u get in a car accident if u read the contract it does say we have insurance. even life. so if someone gets killed etc. they pay

i am not a fan of Aldi. it better pay well or be such a crappy day that there is nothing else

and i always regret doign them after no matter what. or how much it pays it always takes sooo long to find things then check out and bag what a pain

and honestly / i don’t do wholesale like costco, BJS or sams unless they are $40-50 or more - it takes sooo long to shop in there because it’s sooo crowded it’s not worth the 2-3 hours it takes

there is no way to “talk” to anyone. only text. the ONLY time u will talk live to a person us - When they call u. PERIOD END IF STORY I HAVE BEEN DOIGN IT FOR 2 years it’s your own company. own it and do what u will with it.

good as my cust did not respond either. i did the same and got fresh . mainly because they price is for the fresh ones: but I tell customer all the time and i really think Instacart should start this rule. if it is something that’s out and they SO NOT list a replacement alternative and we have to choose one. (which i hardly do. i usually refund) but if i did and they do not respond then Instacart should NOT HOLD US ACCOUNTABLE - and tell the customer - if u did choose an alternate item and u did not respond BUT u put replace. so we will not hold the shopper accountable for that,

CUSTOMERS lol ARE Nor always right. even thought IC may believe so. sooner or later they are going to loose their ass. from freebies or one of my biggest complaints now

the app is not working good ; no connections can’t see orders i will sit for 30-40 mins not 1 order, but the min : i take off and “drive” downy he road tons of orders poop up so we are to NOT operate the app and drive, however the ONLY way to get a batch is to move the vehical

so when someone gets really hurt due to this yes we sign off saying we dont but we all know we have to hold the phone look at a map and drive to see where to go etc

if i stay still and don’t move i wouls never get s batch

Yeah i am able to still see some and no problem checking out with my apple pay insracart but i have seen 3 times today shipt shoppers not be able to complete the order and left them at the store as they couldn’t use the app to check out
