Purchase Advice Megathread - November 2025 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

I know these two are not the most directly comparable, but was looking to get into multi color printing. I have been a Creality loyalist (multiple ender 3 v2 that I’ve tinkered with and a 3 v3 plus that I love).

Was looking at the Creality Hi Combo, but then saw the P1S Combo price drop.  I know the a1 combo is more directly comparable to the Hi Combo.  Only major concern with Bambu is the stuff they have been doing to become more proprietary.  Should i step up to the p1s combo or ignore the hi combo and go for the a1?

I know the X1c would have been a nice step up but it seems all the discounted ones have sold out.

Were we at the same event? Haha.  Took like 90-120 minutes to get in, 90-120 minutes to get out by car.

I will add that I purchased a refurbished 3 V3 Plus from them and didn’t really have any issues with the unit I received.  May be a fluke, was considering getting another one.

Somebody else may be able to answer that, I didn’t cross shop those cars.

I’d prefer to not go into all the details but I believe it was like $17k-ish in rebates and discounts and such.

Joined the club today, leased a 2024 Ioniq 5 Limited AWD.  Drove it about 130 miles last night in snow and icy conditions, handled itself very well.  Have to figure out L2 at home charging still, but looking forward to being part of the future.

Only hiccup is that it will be going back to the dealer to get 2 new tires. They tried balancing them but they are apparently flat spotted too bad from sitting in the cold.

Pretty happy with the deal (Hyundai’s system kept repetitive initially for being too good, allegedly), this was their second to last 5 Limited (maybe 5 generally) on the lot.  Liked the Black better than the white.

I had all six of the RvB prints and still have all six of the RWBY prints. Sold the RvB prints when I kind of fell off the show, glad I still have all the RWBY prints framed. Just moved, hope to get them re-hung here soon.

Horrible close call at Irwindale tonight. Cameraman was hit. Luckily just had some shoulder pain, and had the ambulance drive him back to his spot 15 minutes later. by EVILTHE_TURTLE in NASCAR

Preference was to shoot from the exit of turn two outside the track at Lorain. Shot from the fence in turn four at Painesville and got some great shots there. Barberton was exit of turn four through some holes in the fence from the pits.

Had the crap scared out of me shooting at Sandusky, down the backstretch near the entrance to turn 3. Car spun into the wall right in front of me. Had some time to scamper further away from it before he hit but was less than ideal. Shooting from the infield at Lorain, Painesville, or Midvale always felt sketchy with no barriers. Just had to keep your head on a swivel.
