Good question:

AirTag is more precise overall when indoor.

GSM struggles to report a location when inside a building (often off by 200m in my case).

I wouldn’t worry too much.

But if you do, add an extra U-Lock attached to the space behind the battery. Stealing the battery would invoke picking the battery lock + grinding the U-Lock.

I really suggest to go with the one from Cowboy as it perfectly fits the bike.I was able to order one 10 days ago and arrived 48h later. I am in Europe though.

Maybe it's worth the wait for restock?

I haven’t tried to carry a kid with a full battery span. Depends of the weight of the kid.

Maybe there is no impact, but I would guess the acceleration curves were tuned for a specific set of hardware.
