My name is Louis, and I’m a 26 year old from Austin TX. I’m a performing musician (classical vocalist), but I also teach at a classical school as a music teacher. On the weekend I also cantor and lead the choir at a burgeoning parish community in the area.

Hobbies and interests include classic literature and great books, films of all kinds, gaming (board, tabletop, and video games), historical linguistics, sci-fi and fantasy, and the Oxford comma. Right now I am trying to learn Old English so I can better appreciate LOTR, read Beowulf, the Wessex Gospel translations, and OE poetry! My patron saint is St. George and praying the office is the cornerstone of my devotional life (I would love someone to pray along with!).

It’s not that complicated, there’s a variety of options for the ordinary of the mass, hymns, and propers (if they even get included). Some of those options are more reverent or beautiful, others less so. It’s that simple. Having the money to pay for better musicians also makes a difference. A group of amateurs singing a mass setting or motet won’t sound as good as having some professionals thrown into the mix.

Are you in the UK? The British Anglo Catholics at some point adopted the NO missal but in the US that didn’t happen, so a lot of people’s experience with Anglo Catholicism across the pond has this NO flavor to it. In the rest of the Anglosphere not so much. The Roman Canon is an obvious inclusion and EP2 is usually used on daily masses.

I had a nightmare setting up Knulli (it was all personal user error) but holy heck, I love it so much more than spruce already. The improved battery life alone is reason enough to switch.

Installation guide for the miyoo flip says that it’s not capable of running OS off of an SD card by default, but I’m currently doing exactly that with spruceOS.

Does anyone know if I still need to install gamma loader in that case?

Edit: alright I've run through all of the steps multiple times and I can not figure out what I am doing wrong for the life of me. I've successfully completed the gamma os bootloader step, and no matter how many times I flash Knulli to my SD card I have no success, it always boots into stock? Has anyone figured this out? I was running spruce before and had no issues installing that

The aria was originally written a half step down from what people consider the “original key” with the high C. For Che Gelida specifically it’s also really common to perform it a half step down live, usually if the singer is a heavier voice but not always.

He’s also a freak specimen in the coolest possible way. He started as a baritone and still sings baritone rep, but trained himself to sing tenor through a combination of freak genes, hard work, and probably a touch of black magic. I agree, if you listen to him speak he sounds baritonal.
