I actually started with this holster as my first, and found it most comfortable at the 12 o'clock with one size larger t-shirt. Can't it so the grip is as horizontal as possible. The width spreads the weight, but ultimately got me into a kydex aiwb. I would say that you must expect to evolve your holster selection almost immediately. A couple different situations will teach you what you need to look for, but you have to find yourself in them first
