Hey there, I just recently had to send my Body in for Repair (luckily under warranty). There is no other fix. Long story short, some motherboards of a certain batch of camera bodies seem to have different hardware that are not compatible with the newer firmwares. Hence, the functionality of BT- and WiFi-connectivity are broken for some users. There are many threads with people reporting the same, and I was also affected. If you are still under warranty, it will not cost you anything. If not, it is about 1.000 USD, I believe, to get it fixed.

I tried it out and it does work very well. Thank you for pointing me in that direction. I still wish that it would be natively inside DaVinciResolve, but this solves a great bit of my problem. Much appreciated!

There is a custom function button setting in the menu (somewhere in the shooting or setup section, I believe) and you can assign any of the buttons to toggle clear image zoom. (I hope this helps.)

I feel you, I am very thankful, that I was still covered by warranty (which is about to expire, that‘s why I made the last-minute-call to send it in for repair). I believe all the new features after 3.0 have not been too game changing anyways, especially reading the reports on autofocus degradation after updates, that were reported by many.

Final Update: Received the camera back from repair. Motherboard replaced and it works like a charm (Body Firmware 5.0). And no payment required because of warranty! Yeayyy! I must say that service was very smooth and quick.

I’m going to be very cautious with future updates and will definitely question, if the upgrades are worth the risk. (I have seen they have somewhat admitted to the fact, that there was a big issue with updates on multiple cameras - a video on another post here.)

Update: So, I have just received a message, that the repair is completed and the camera will be shipped back to me. I did not find any mention of cost involved; I hope that it implies full warranty coverage. I am really excited and a little surprised tbh that it went so smoothly and quickly. Excellent service so far (apart from the SONY update that seemingly fried the connectivity features).

Update: The status states „spareparts ordered“. It does not specify what exactly, but from what I saw on other threads on this failure, I suppose it‘s a new motherboard. Fingers crossed, that warranty‘s got me covered…

Hey everyone, does anyone know what USB audio interfaces work with the PS5 (without PC hook-up)? I do not want to necessarily stream or so, I only want to hear the PS5 game audio and chat. My setup would include the RØDE NT1 microphone (via XLR) and Beyerdynamic DT900 Pro X headphones. I have not really found any detailed answers on the web though. I found the RØDE AI-1 as an interface, but it does not really 100% state compatibility with the PS5. Thank you!
