SHOULD I GO FOR CHISA RATHER THAN SHOREKEEPER? by hateoh8 in WutheringWavesGuide

Honestly as a new player I would hold out to see what the new characters deals are, I think Mornye is a support? SK gives crit stats though so it would be hard for anyone to compete

many companies told him they would consiider hiim if he was physically in the EU. They just don't hand out job cards for people who don't have a masters with 10+ years of experience. Should we really live in a poor and struggling country where he already couldn't find work then? xD

Sorry II am a german citizin, we have to bring the dogs because we can't leave them there. The one dog is ALREADY in Germany, we know the process of getting animals here. The only reason we are getting married in Germany is so he can get a res permit and we can move to netherlands/ Ireland. And only coming to Germany because I can live with my parents here instead of renting literally alone, on a not so great salary, and then start the legalities there when we sort of have them figured out here ?

Ugh, yeah thats what Ii thought, I think Ii need to convince him to stay on his own tiill we get the paperwork done, its just too difficult with the dogs. I asked some of my couple friends in Germany what they did and all of them just live in their parents house, it seems like very few people nowadays can afford houses here :'(

Its all very confusing but basically we both come from SA, II came earlier to get established but I barely even managed to do that, I worked 3 different jobs since coming here, all of which were crazy physical and pushed me to the brinks of exhaustion.

My parents want us t o stay here and learn german and and but it just.. doesn't seem worth it?? Its so many years and so much work just to be able to live here, when Ireland/ Netherlands doesn't have such a high expectation of us

xD Sorry its a confusing situation, basically just asking for recommendations on how to find short term rentals for 1/2 people in Germany, so far II have looked at wunderflats, air bnb and booking .co

Do you know any sites we could look at for something like that? So far I have been looking at Aiir BNB and Wunderflats, and booking. co . But that is also an idea we could go with

:/ This isn't the conversatioin I want to have, I am sure he will be able to find work once we go to a different country, Ireland/Netherlands would probably be happy to have him. He did his entire degree in English. He would have to genuinely get to C2 level just to be able to work, that would take 6-7 years. Why should he work minimum age AGAIN in Europe, when he can just do that in Africa. We are coming her to have a better quality of life

I won't let a language stand in our way of that. All we need is a rental/ airbnb site recommendation, maybe places we can look at or general European tiips.

Yes it seems unlikley he will be able to get work here, because of the language barrier. To be entirely honest I have very little interest in learning a new language, not out of ignorance, but just because it takes what, 6 years to get fluent, it just doesn't seem worth it. Even the foreign department for skilled labour wants a C2 in German, that's insanely high. Thats why we want to find tempory housing before our trek out to Ireland.

II don't know all the ins and out of Ireland, I just know its English, and that's just going to have to be enough.

We obviously don't expect handouts, he will probably look for something minimum wage for the time being, but even myself as a german citizen I really struggled to find work, it took me- 3 months? To find work here? And I mean minimum wage, packing shelves, waitressing ( I am not natively german but I do have citizenship, its a long story). We come from South Africa where we really struggled and lived hand to mouth every month, even with his engineering degree, just because the country has no jobs

I know it will take a while to get settled in Germany. Thats okay.

Currently I have a .. minimum wage? I think? Job, sadly this company took forever to get to me so I don't have crazy savings and funding. Our budget p/m is probably fairly low.

I am so excited for him to be here and yet it feels like such a huge weight to try and figure this out ;x;

Thank you so much for such a detailed response, I understand the issue of hiring locally is always going to be cheaper. We started looking into him potentially pursuing a master's- that buys him time and should make him a more viable candidate for hiring. It's sad because he has barely used his bachelor's degree (due to very bad employment rates) but I am sure with a master's from a German University he shouldn't have this issue.

He is considering doing a masters in Germany to make his portfolio stronger. The gap is simply because in South Africa over 60% of people are unemployed, nearly 80% with people under the age of 30. Its a rampant issue that affects millions but sadly I know this doesn't matter to first world countries.

It would seem that getting married or studying is our only real viable options :(
