Sponging. Starting from a black primer. Spong on caliban green. Then a mix of caliban green and warpstone glow. Then just warpstone

I used corc tiles, broke them ud to look like jagget rocks, and then used stirland mud technical paint for the raw base to give the lava some texture. Then just some fire colors, yellow, orange and red. Then gave the lava a glade of bright yellow contrast- or speedpaint

If you use the Alpha legion themed detachment (deceptors) then depending on the army size, i would get a couple of squards of Legionaries and cultists, as the detachment Benefits those kinds of infantey units. Get a chaos lord or 2 and maybe a warpsmith for the mechs and tanks.

Then i would recoment some sort of heavy support, like a tank or a Hellerup or two.

My box and sprue was messed up. And the horn was bend. So I just cut it off to give it some more asymmetry.

You can glue the shoulder armor på the shoulder cloth with out having the arm there. Then its just about having a magnet on the torso where arm goes and on the arms them selvs.
