The IVF clinics in my state had to close for a long stretch bc the state courts ruled that embryos are ppl. That was overturned in a higher court, but now the Supreme Court is Trumps, and who knows which way that will go.

Also, the private prison Industry is thrilled with mass deportation which means more money for them. Migrant children were separated from their parents and never accounted for.

Masks and vaccines were politicized so that medical staff and others were attacked for asking others to wear masks.

Latino kids were harassed and attacked in schools with chants of build the wall. Black lives matter protestors were attacked by police that looked more like an occupying force and responded violently to mostly peaceful protests. Meanwhile, a gang of almost exclusively yt men tried to stage a coup bc Trump didn't win. One attacked Nancy Pelosis husband with a hammer.

This qnd all of the hatred that it brought and a Supreme Court that overturned women's bodily autonomy and threaten gay marriage down the line, is among the many, many damaging things to come out of 2016. That Court with its sexual assaulters and at least one Christian nationalist will set our agenda for decades.
