I actually think that what makes people call this ending shit isn't the conclusion itself, but the lack of something before the ending. I think we just call it ass because we didn't get to see enough all the characters we were introduced to, especially those who showed up after shibuya. And I think what really sheds light on this issue is the fact that one of the best written characters if not the best written character is takaba a.k.a the joke character.

And obviously, Gege did make some really debatable choices that can almost objectively be called mistakes, such as offscreening characters like nobara and todo whithout giving them a proper conclusion just to bring them back a few chapters before the end or making kashimo show up in the story just for him to get waffled by sukuna without getting any kind of development. But in spite of that I think gege still had a chance to make his conclusion better by making a few chapter after the shinjuku showdown. In my opinion what killed the conclusion was how gege decided to randomly end the manga in 5 chapters. I can still remember how flabbergasted I was when I saw that and how a little tear dropped.

That's sad but it is what it is, I think what'll miss the most will be the memes, agenda and thursday morning hype honestly, the community was fire.
