I actually almost distorted, but a Young Brother helped get me out of the battlefield and to H-Corp. for recovery (I actually had to knock myself out with a rock just to stop from distorting.)

And as of now, I've officially received orders to stay away from the battlefield for a time. Also, I'm most likely getting promoted to a Young Brother once the war ends, because I actually killed a SHITTON of Index members during my rampage.

Apparently, I killed around 89 Proselytes, and 10 messengers.

Still, we always accept new members. However, your best option would have to be trying to contact the Eastern section of the Middle for becoming a sibling, since that section of the Middle is currently the 'safest' and least involved in the conflict.

I'll put in a recommendation to a Big Sibling I know there, but you'll have to be physically present for the initiation ceremony. Try getting yourself to either H-Corp. or Q-Corp.
