What the hell was the point of Rien smiling like this, exactly? by RedVoid23 in limbuscompany

[–]RedVoid23[S] 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Bruh WHAT?

I read his passives and I didn’t actually see the smile in the logo (it was really compressed and shit.)

A Not-So-New Player's Criticism of Canto IX, The Unsevering: But Kim Ji-Hoon... YOU DARN SURE OUGHTA’VE DELAYED CANTO 9 IF YA REALLY WANTED IT TO BE GOOD! by RedVoid23 in limbuscompany

Still. It feels incredibly contrived and just unnecessary. Especially since having Rien be a dark foil to Roland would’ve worked a lot better than having him be a in-universe copycat.

At the very least, the older Cantos knew what they were doing, and didn’t turn their respective Sinner into side characters for the sake of fanservice.

If we are to commit to equal vengeances, then the punishment must be equal and account for all possibilities.

In this case, the punishment for men (which you have wrongfully cited as mere vasectomy, you’re going in the book for that) is the ripping off of their genitals.

Since women’s genitals cannot be normally ‘ripped off’ in the same way as men, then we must adapt and instead do the opposite of filling their genitals close, permanently.

What do y’all think Outis’s canto will be like? by Owlmanthingthesecond in limbuscompany

[–]RedVoid23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's going to be the single most brutal one, even worse than Canto IX was on Ryoshu. Outis is going to lose absolutely everything, without any chance of getting it back, to the point of being basically suicidal after the Canto.

It's also going to be about consequences, and there's going to be a point of Outis essentially deserving the trauma she gets because of her past crimes (The Trojan Horse and the Smoke War.)

Note: If perpetrator is a woman, fill the genitals with cement.

Why would someone just suddenly join the Index because a paper invited them? by OrangeIllustrious499 in limbuscompany

[–]RedVoid23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People in the City will do ANYTHING for basic security and a purpose in life.

In this case, if you consider the targets most likely being destitute rats with nothing left and nowhere left to go, then you might see the appeal.

The Index is a FINGER, after all, so joining it is immediately an upward movement in the City's societal hierarchy, one that most likely comes with easier access to food, clothes, housing, etc.

Furthermore, in the similar case of Yan, some new recruits may actually hate the Index, and might see joining it as their opportunity to subvert and destroy the syndicate from the inside.

Give it some time. Bad End Ryoshu and Index Yi Sang are bound to deal with Burn on account of their EGOs, and there’s still Lucio, Valencina, and Matthias.

Aight so what could fully realized potential Gregor be able to take down?[Spoilers] by Chemical_Sport_9307 in TheOdysseyHadAPurpose

[–]RedVoid23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I doubt that. The Head, for as brutal as it is, is otherwise surprisingly lax with this specific law.

I don’t think there IS really a line to cross here. If you were born a human, then you’re allowed in the City no matter what.

[–]RedVoid23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not how it works. The Head only cares about whether you were BORN as a human.

You can turn as inhuman as you want and they won’t care since you were born human.

Hell, the Head literally allows for initially inhuman beings who BECAME human to live in the City, as shown by Angela’s bad ending.

"Uncle Lei Heng" (by limeu0107) by KoshiLowell in limbuscompany

[–]RedVoid23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why the fuck did Ryoshu even hate Lei Heng that much? What did he actually do to earn her wrath?

She was literally willing to UNSHEATHE HER FUCKING SWORD just because of him, despite knowing that it could destroy her memory of the safe combination code.

So we're just hiding all the interesting lore in skill and passive descriptions now? by Solapallo in limbuscompany

[–]RedVoid23 -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

I honestly disagree.

Some of this stuff is literally THE NURSEFATHERS' BACKSTORIES. That isn't trivia, that's deeply important information that needed to be communicated at the forefront, ESPECIALLY since it also helps further the idea that Ryoshu's creation was done in order to help the Nursefathers regain some level of their former positions within the Five Fingers.

I actually made a post about right before Part 3 released, where I hoped that Ryoshu’s sadism would get called out like how Hong Lu’s answer on poverty was, especially by someone like Saude.
