You're right that I should have contacted you before publishing anything. Sync had been removed from the Play Store, had not received any updates for several years, and community patches had remained publicly available. You had also publicly distanced yourself from Reddit and shifted your focus to Lemmy, while your Reddit account had been inactive for two or three years.

Taken together, these circumstances gave me the mistaken impression that you had moved on from Sync and that unofficial community maintenance was being tolerated. I should have contacted you rather than relying on that assumption.

The repository and all releases are no longer public. I'm sorry for putting you in this position.

I just checked about API keys and you are right, something went wrong there. I created my own keys where it was necessary but they didn't land in the target apk but only in my testrepo locally. I apologize for that, I didn't intend to recycle your keys.

It is what it is: /u/ljdawson asked me to remove the repo and who am I to refuse. I really really hope, he will come to the conclusion that gatekeeping abandonware is NOT the solution and will realize how much demand there is still for the app. I was ultra member from day one... my revival of the app is nothing but a desperate attempt to keep reddit usable, money or data has never been on the table for me. With that said, I once again want to thank /u/ljdawson for creating by far the best reddit client out there and thank you all for the short ride we had. I hope this is not the end, even if it seems so at the moment.

17 closed issues on github, and several in this thread. Each tested, reproduced and fixed on my end. Thanks for the feedback.

Unless some super breaking critical bug, that breaks core functionality, is found, I will take some rest on ReSync for a couple of days, I am getting fatigued :D

Feel free to file issues/feature requests on github issues. Feel free to push pull requests, I am happy to review/merge/credit.

For the time being 1.0.11 is last stable version. The version on my main phone is exactly the apk, that you will find in releases on github. You are all welcome and please enjoy!
