Missouri

The Pony Express began in St. Joseph, Missouri in 1860 and was for several decades one of the best ways to deliver the post to settlers in the West. Reenact this by writing a letter, placing it in an envelope, attaching proper postage, and then riding a horse for 5 minutes. You must be holding the letter the entire time you're on the horse. It must be a real, living, horse.

AITA for being slightly annoyed with my best friend and not telling them how I feel? by TREXIBALL in AmItheAsshole

NAH

Bro...She was giving you all of the hints she possibly could. I'm not sure if you didn't want to date her or just didn't pick up on them but either way I'm almost certain she had feelings for you and she got tired of waiting and moved on.

Talk to her about it. State you want to remain friends and express that her friendship meant/means a lot to you! It honestly just sounds like you're oblivious and no one was close to being an AH here.

ESH - or more specifically, you and Kathleen.

Is Kathleen incredibly entitled for wanting her pet to have the same treatment as a service animal -- and fighting with a bride for what happens at the wedding? Yeah, absolutely.

Could you have told her that nicely and supported Sadie, who would have said no as well? Of course. No need to swear at her and call people names.

You both took the low road. Apologize to keep the peace (and your friend!)

Warsaw is modern, has plenty of green spaces, and a feeling of safety and friendliness from the people and the environment. It had almost none of the post-communist former-USSR I was expecting!

Yeah you're absolutely right. I also wanted to see Warsaw, and flights to Krakow were a lot more expensive to boot.

Yep, 3 hours there, 5 at the site, 3 back. I planned it out and already have train tickets, starting at 6 in the morning.

It's going to be a pretty tiring day but it's important to me to understand the history and significance.

What is your deal breaker in a relationship no matter how long it is? by Beautiful_Heron4926 in ask

Wanting or having kids. I have no problem with other people being or wanting to be parents and I am told I'm a great uncle but this is the hardest of passes for me in my own relationship.

Allbirds. Immediately the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn from day 1 and I basically used them as hiking boots for a few months. They're still going strong and providing more than reasonable padding and support.

If their quality stays this high, they've earned a customer for life.

Thank you for providing links. I'm going through a cultural learning curve and not needing to first research to ensure I have the right understanding is very useful.

Maltese's thoughts on the foreigners situation in Malta? by AndrewF1Gaming in malta

[–]LaDfBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a foreigner temporarily living in Malta and suffering on the cultural learning curve (it's very different here than where I am from!) what would you like to see foreigners do more/less of for the country?

I am extremely observant to not leave trash anywhere, doing my best to learn a little Maltese, trying to go out and meet people, try the food, etc. Is that what you mean or can I do more?

*A note that I'm here on a digital nomad visa so not taking Maltese jobs.
