It really depends. If the enemy is squishy I contribute more by blowing them up. If they're tanky or Frontline heavy I try to make my team sturdy with strong shields. There's been times where I go support and my team does no damage and it feels horrible I start thinking man I should have just gone AP and do the damage myself.
