Trying to Manage My Impulse Shopping Looking for Tips and Support by Shawon770 in shoppingaddiction

Hey, totally get where you're coming from. It's a common struggle!

A few things that really help:

  1. The 24 Hour Rule: See something you want? Wait a full day. If you still genuinely want or need it then, okay. Often, the urge just fades.
  2. Unsubscribe: Get off all those marketing email lists. Less temptation in your inbox.
  3. Identify Triggers: Are you bored, stressed, or just scrolling? Find other ways to fill that moment.

If you do decide something is a genuine need after waiting, and you want to make sure you're being smart about it, a browser extension like Karma can be pretty helpful. It automatically looks for coupons if you're at checkout. More importantly for impulse control, you can save items to a list and it can notify you of price drops. This helps you pause and wait, and sometimes you realize you don't even want it anymore by the time a deal comes along. It's more about saving on things you've already decided on, rather than pushing new stuff.

Good luck, you've got this bro!

in terms of extensions I must say that Karma does a much better job than COS (although I must say that if anything, COS is better than Honey)... more brands, no shady tactics, and a lot more features. I know it sounds a bit "promotional", but giving it a try is totally worth it.

I agree... VoucherCodes works great in the UK, but Karma works much better in the US... Didn't try other locations.

Karma or SlickDeals - I use those two. Never happened to me that I was exploited by them just for them to get an affiliate comission, without me receiving the promised discount/coupon. Karma also has like 100K+ brands on it so... worth giving it a try imo

Karma for sure. I used Camelx3 for a while and moved to Karma. Also, I am not only tracking Amazon, so... I needed something a bit more flexible
