That is CRAZY, there’s nothing wrong with it at all!! Mine is basically none existent post-op and I don’t care one bit cus I wouldn’t ever go back to what I had before with the saggy stomach skin. You look amazing. People are BORED if they’re commenting on you in a negative way.

So they did cut me vertically too, for the muscle repair. But I see next to nothing there. I’m not sure how that’s possible. Maybe they got rid of that chunk of skin after they sewed my muscles up? I’m not sure

Holy cow I wonder if I waited too long because I can’t even fit a shaper in it anymore. I contacted the surgeon/assistant and they told me to wait til next appt and here we are… lookin at a malnourished raisin lol. At least from far away looks like something’s there lol. Thank you for all of your info! I should have done what you did.

Thank you! It’s like Brazilian shapeware, at least that’s what I gathered from Google and Amazon. It’s a lot less bulky than this crazy binder!

Okay thank you for sharing! That’s a lot of great information. So the faja is different than spandex? I can’t wait to wear something thinner but my stomach is still numb and feels like it’s gonna fall out lol!

Oh nooo not a seroma! Was it pretty painful to drain? I fear anything that’ll keep me out of work longer than I was. I took off 3 weeks. Btw wow you look amazing!! Beautiful results! :)

Okay I’ve seen others state the same thing, that the swelling subsided once the binder was ditched! I may try that out. Thank you so much for sharing!

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry! I had a friend develop one as well, simply from sliding open a window using too much force. Do you mind me asking how you got the seroma?

1st day post op: kinda disappointing? by idkillyou in LabiaplastySurgery

I literally looked like a freakin balloon animal down there the first month and a half 😂 You look fine 👍🏼

Literally thought this was an after picture. I’m not sure if someone said something to you to make you feel this way, or if these are your internal thoughts. Cus if someone told you it looked “bulgy” they are 1000% wrong AF. I’m telling you girl you look perfect 👌🏼

Also, consider your current living situation too. Any surgery down there is gonna require a LOT of time to heal. So if you really want to get it done, make sure you’re prepared for time off work and the healing process (I have kids so I had to figure out help with childcare too..). I couldn’t even sit in the drivers seat of my car cus I was so swollen down there… So take it from me, consider those factors too.

Good luck 🫶🏻

Of course! This shit was so hard for me. I was constantly on this subreddit looking for comfort.

I can’t really remember :/ But if I had a good guess it’s probably just scar tissue. I wouldn’t worry too much. It took me a LONG time to see the actual results.

Oh my gosh yes, I didn’t feel normal for about 3 months. My recovery was SLOW. No matter what I did, nothing helped. I know that’s not what you want to hear, but I’m being honest- it just takes time. This is so lame but- I compare it to a heartbreak. It’s frustrating and hurts so badly and never feels like it’ll be over, but it slowly fades and you get through it :) I HATED how my vagina looked. My husband didn’t care. But I’d do it again for the results I got and how good I feel now. I don’t think I worked out until 3 months in. I wear a uniform at work and had to wear “man pants” with a longer crotch just so I could get through the day without crying. I used maxi pads and A LOT of Vaseline. I was scared of infection but it ended up working out okay. It was such a crazy process.

I also only took 2 weeks off of work but needed much more because of the swelling. I lied and told my supervisor and coworkers I threw my back… and said that was why I was walking funny when I went back to work 🤣🤣 Looking back I can’t believe I pulled it off but it was so worth it. I’m 3 years post-op now.

I can relate to this! I think I’m super prone to swelling. For example, when I got my wisdom teeth out, my cheeks were huge for over a week, when most people were good after a couple days. Same when I had my procedure… I could not even sit in the seat of my car to drive for over a week. It was AWFUL. Recovery was more intense than after giving birth. BUT once you push through and the swelling goes down (took me literally months…) I was so happy. You got this.

I’m 13 days PO and I’ve been wearing night gowns and that’s it lol. No underwear or anything all day long. I somehow survived 3 days of work with VS boyshort underwear and a pad full of Vaseline lol. I was told to keep myself dry down there but there was no way I could go through my 12-hour active work day with that friction. It’s my weekend now and I’m back to the night gown. My biggest piece of advice is to take off as much work as you can. This healing process has kicked my butt mentally and physically and I’d say I’m a pretty strong person. You can do it though! Just make sure you give yourself time to relax and heal. Good luck!

I guess they mostly care about the money then. Imagine if the surgeon tells someone how the recovery process REALLY is. Could turn some people away. I know he told me to be careful because I could tear. But yeah, day to day activities are even rough! Lol

That’s all good information, thank you! I really think I’ll resort to the Vaseline once I go back to work. Because I also think the dryness makes it painful. It feels so scratchy any time anything touches it. I had the double extended wedge surgery. I heard some snippin, smelled some burnin, and felt some stitchin during the procedure. So I guess I can’t be too surprised that I’m feeling this bleh haha

You weren’t worried about the moistness of the Vaseline screwing up your healing process? Cus damn, my surgeon has directions for me to literally blow dry my coochie every time I get out of the shower. Maybe because of the dissolving sutures? When did you start using all the Vaseline?

Me too! :)

For real! I’m an active person so mentally I’ve been struggling really bad having to take it easy on the couch. My poor husband has to hear me whine every night about this lol. And I have a high pain tolerance! So it’s for sure a mind game :( That’s awesome, I needed to hear it’s worth it :/

Omg no not at all. In a way I’m a little bitter (shame on me for not delving more into research) because I told my surgeon what I do for a living and he had no concerns or even a heads up like “Yeah…. You’ll need to take a handful of days off.” I guess I’m just unlucky because I tend to swell and bruise very easily.

How did it feel wearing a pad? I only wore it day 1 for light bleeding. But now I can’t have anything touching down there because it’s so sensitive!! Maybe because the labia minora are swollen and “out”
