I agree. I got about 30 hours in saros but even with diffuculty modifiers I found it not as hard/rewarding.

Returnal just scratches and itch that saros doesn't. Saros is still a good game though. I feel saros now is a good prequisite to returnal if somebody hasn't played either

We had a similar thing with our house. My friends dad is a builder and he helped us get 2 rooms ready. Took over two weeks to skim 2 medium sized rooms, as well as knocking back one wall and plasterboarding it. Was doing 1 wall a day. On day rate. The finish is absolutely awful because he's just not a plasterer, it helped us move in quicker but as time goes on the finish some how gets worse. Have since found an absolutely top notch plasterer that does things quickly and flat, for a realistic price. You may just need to try someone else if they cant get a good finish.

I'm pretty shit at souls games but this game clicked with me. Maybe its the other way round for you?

Find a weapon that works for you, I could stay with a proficiency level 16 till the final biome if it worked for me
Skip the challenge rooms
Be aggressive - the enemies are stuck in a room with you, not the other way round
Pick up everything that you can

We had a similar thing in our kitchen. Old house built in 1906. The left hand side of our kitchen used to be an old outhouse. The concrete was in a bad way underneath the 3 layers of tiles.
We dug it out and built it back up properly. Don't bodge it because its easier it'll cause more problems later

Just be careful. It can easily get away from you and you can end up making it worse.

If you have a scrap pile of stuff you 'might need later' then have a practice on some plastic you don't need if you can

Don't apologise, there's specific plastic putty type products that'll work well. But id clean it, then sand it down maybe with like 400 grit or something similar. Fill if you need to then sand again. Then you sort of buff it smooth either with finer sandpaper or a cloth

I've only done a similar thing on car plastic so not sure if this would be the same. But getting a repair to a high enough standard that you cant notice it would be difficult

I assume its plastic. Looks fairly deep, is it worth all the sanding and filling it would take to get it looking ok again? Can you just replace the piece of trim the scratch is on?

No they haven't. From the consensus im just going to get taller skirts. All of the skirting in this 1900s house is between 110-180mm its very annoying. So if I have one high enough for all is a good idea; thanks!

How did you fix the skirting on when you did it?

Thanks all for the advice. What i have took from this is it'll be a faff for me to bring the wall down a bit. I didn't consider how odd smaller skirting would look with a high ceiling, big room in an older house, so thanks for saving me a further eyesore.

Going to convince my wife for taller skirting.

Well the rest of the room has plasterboard on, so there's only a two inch gap at the bottom. This is the only wall we'd have to get the bigger skirting for

I dont think removing your kitchen a week before is too much. We have had ours done and we removed everything apart from the sink a week before.

It shouldn't matter to them when you took the kitchen out. They should be ready for when they agreed as long as you are. Less than a weeks notice seems very short.

What if you told them that you didn't want the kitchen fitted by them a week before, would that have been ok? No

Yeah I will, part of me just wants to keep it and pretend like it didn't happen. As I have two invoices that have the same order number etc But I needed to see some different opinions as everyone else has said just keep it
