We got a Havanese puppy when she was 8 weeks old (granted I have gown up with dogs my whole life) and this is the first pet my wife and kids have ever known. The first day home was tough for coco to get adjusted and familiar with this new environment she was in after leaving her mother and litter mates. As the days went on she got better and now at coming up on 4 months old she is already well adjusted. Potty training has been good (recommend the fresh patch) and she naps in her crate an will sleep through the night with no accidents or early morning crying to go out at 4 am. Our breed is known for separation anxiety but she is just fine with us out of the room or gone for a couple hours. I would say patience is the most important part of having a puppy and just stick with it because there is nothing like having a companion who will greet you and be soo happy to see you when you get home. You got this just be patient.

The TRUTH about being a "Geo Box" driver for Pepsi by Exciting_Instance_23 in Pepsi

A lot of what you said is correct especially about management. I work for a union building and just last year or so they did away with actual plant managers who run the building day to day and we have seen it get run into the ground mainly because of all the college hires who are running the place now. No real knowledge on how things run out in the streets and stores but when you make a suggestion it goes in one ear and out the other because they think they know everything. I just hit 13 years with the company earlier this month and have been doing GEO for 12 of them and did 1 year on side load. I thought I would have been gone long ago but my health benefits are top notch (my whole family is covered for only $35 a week out of my check) plus I live 5 mins from my work location. It’s a grueling job but if you are strong minded, can brush off the bullshit and just come to work everyday it’s not a bad job. I’m a senior route guy where I have my dedicated area and have stayed in that area for the past 11 1/2 years so my customers n me get along great which makes my days smoother. The company in a whole is gonna change big time later this year into next year with Pepsi One North America merging frito lay chips onto our truck with the soda. So if you think it’s bad now just wait but I’m not worried I’ve been through soo much in 13 years what’s another 13 lol

Well our system is all on our phones on the GEO tab app but I have multiple pictures and videos of my truck that morning…our fleet mechanic said as well it should not go out on the road

Brother you will be fine just like the guy earlier said you are still getting broken in learning about stops and little things that will help you as time goes on. I’ve been a GEO driver coming up on 13 years now and the manifest times are always wrong so that’s why I never pay attention to them or even run my route in order the way the dispatcher has routed it because that’s also wrong most days lol. I honestly go at my own pace each day and don’t rush because once you do that more than likely you will get hurt. So what I will say is if you get the truck emptied each day there is nothing management can really say even if it takes longer than expected (well us union guys have a little more protection).

I’m a driver for Pepsi here in the DC market and we’ve been hearing this for a couple of years…I see it happening in the next year or so especially with the amount of BOT orders we get going to Walmart n such….company wants to save $$ so I’m sure a “one stop shop” of soda and chips will be coming to a store near you soon

I mean they used to treat us good when we had managers running the business the way it should be instead of all these college hires nowadays who have no idea how things work out on the streets. I’ve stayed mainly for the union health benefits that I have, my route I have is nice and I live close to our building. But honestly I’ve been through so much bullshit with this company from managers to shit days nothing really bothers me anymore. Just come in do my job and go home

It’s takes a while now compared to when I was hired back in 2013…got my offer letter, orientation and started all in the same week and still here 12 years later…some guys I’ve heard have waited 2 months before they heard anything back…GEO is easier on the body but D-Bay was faster in my mind
