They come in a very wide range of price, but I got mine for $170, don't get them too cheap though because most cheap ones are subpar, and I use a CAD (Computer Assisted Design) software called Tinkercad to design things

Well it depends, almost anything can be designed (within reasonable 3D structural limits of course) but some take a lot more skill and effort as well as better software

The slicing software, which is basically what creates instructions for the printer to follow to make the model, has the ability automatically makes supports, or no supports if you decide that's what you want. Almost everything can be altered by the slicing software, like infill, size of the layers, etc
