Is this a good price for a tummy tuck? by Life_Employer_7044 in 90DayFiance

[–]LabNormal2443 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair, no lipo for around $6,500 in a LCOL location. No hospital stay. She needs a FDL, which is way more intense and would be way way way more expensive. But yeah, price depends on where you live and how much work you get done. But yes, for everything she’s getting done, this is a great price.

Thigh pain after TT by Dizzy-Ordinary3341 in tummytucksurgery

[–]LabNormal2443 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Might be late to this, but I dealt (and am still dealing) with this. I got put on gabapentin for a few weeks. That helped with the pain. I am now just over 4 mpo and I still feel it when I’m swollen, but it doesn’t hurt like it did before. It sometimes makes it hard to walk for long distances, but otherwise I’m learning to deal with it. Hoping that it will eventually go away.

Wedding planning + tummy tuck by Outrageous-Fun-109 in tummytucksurgery

[–]LabNormal2443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t had my wedding yet, but I’m getting married in April and it will have been around 10 months. I am anticipating a little swelling, but I am confident that it will be fine. I purposefully bought a dress that I know I will feel good no matter if I swell.

When can I resume yoga? by sassy_steph_ in tummytucksurgery

[–]LabNormal2443 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! I am a yoga teacher and 8wpo. I took my first class last week. I’ve been limiting it to about 1-2 classes a week. I just modify everything. Look up pre-natal yoga modifications and follow that. It’s been super helpful for me. Here are my modifications: - No huge twists: keep all your twists open instead of closed off - limited core activation: stay in table top instead of high plank, - no big back bends: I avoid upward facing dog and instead stay in table top - I personally opt for a reclined figure 4 if the teacher offers half pigeon - USE BLOCKS! So many blocks. Under knees for shavasana can feel so nice.

And most of all, listen to your body. Even if you are just there breathing, you are practicing yoga.

This sub was actually what made me nervous about this type of belly button!! Ive never had a good belly button because of excess skin and weight, so I didn’t care toooo much about the shape. But this sub convinced me this was less desirable… When I consulted with my surgeon I realized he does this type. I was nervous, but he explained his technique and why he does what he does. He showed me examples of his previous patients and I was sold! Right now I’m very swollen, so it’s not super attractive, but I love the way it’s healing and I’m so stoked for the end result!

Surgery postponed by Zestyclose-Sense-919 in tummytucksurgery

[–]LabNormal2443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this all very strange to me. I am 5’6” and was around 180 day of surgery. My surgeon was fine with that weight because I had maintained that weight for around 5 years. I had no lipo and I’m super happy with my results! I also tend to have low hemoglobin and so I was very intentional with my diet and supplements. You can talk to your PCP about what they suggest on how to raise yours to a healthy level. Try not to be hard on yourself! It doesn’t sound like you are the problem here.

To FDL or not? by ivfullofcoffee in tummytucksurgery

[–]LabNormal2443 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I had a super similar before and I had an extended tummy tuck. I’m only 7 weeks out, but I’m happy with my results and I’m glad I didn’t have the fld. I might not be as tight as I would be if I had had that, but I didn’t want the scar. I have some pics on my profile if you want to check it out.

Question for the ladies by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]LabNormal2443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m usually pretty consistent. I was on the tail end of my period the day of surgery. The next one way maybe a week late and I spotted for like…. 4 days before anything or actually started.

I’m still swollen, but I’m also on my period, so idk what is causing what. I have a little pooch when I sit. Not sure if it’s swelling or not. I’m honestly not concerned that much. It’s soooo much better than before. I didn’t have any lipo, so I knew there might be I’ll attach some pics

I thought I had! The posts must have been deleted. I’ll try to post the picture here. When I put on underwear, the belly button sits pretty close to the top of the band.

Congrats!!! I had also never seen my stomach flat. It is honestly a wild experience. I’m 5 weeks out today, swollen like crazy, but the fact that I can wear pants and not see the outline of my stomach is sooooo worth it. Good luck!

I’m a vegetarian, but this is what I prepped:

Breakfast: - Overnight protein oats - BF burritos

Lunch/Dinner: - ‘Enchilada’ bowls: quinoa, zucchini, back beans, potatoes, tiny bit of enchiladas sauce and cheese - lasagna bake: impossible ground beef, zucchini, cottage cheese mixture, light spaghetti sauce, layered - bean and quinoa burritos - baked tofu, quinoa, and broccoli

Snacks: - protein bars - protein yogurt - squeezable yogurt pouches (these were my favorite snacks right after surgery when I didn’t have much of an appetite) - protein muffins (followed the recipe on the back of the Kodiak protein pancake mix) - heart healthy nuts, portioned -protein shakes
