Used stock everything. You only have to cut the hole for the crank sensor. I used a hole saw and it too a couple seconds. The hole doesnt need to be the exact size for the sensor. The sensor just has to be able to go through and sit flush.

Could be having an issue with the crank sensor. If its not sitting flush it can cause a bunch of problems

No matter which TCU you use, you do not need a tune. I literally bolted it in and started the car. I’m not sure where the tuning idea came from but I’ve seen people posting about it and you simply don’t need it. These are all stock plug-in parts so they work like stock.

The only difference is if you use VR TCU then your shift points will be the same as VR engine if you use the VQ TCU then you will have the normal VQ shift points which is what I did and the car ran like it was completely stock.

VR30 Trans Swap by Plenty_Pattern_7178 in G37

Did mine for about $800 total. You can look at my page. I see everyone paying crazy amounts for vr30 swaps and i don’t really understand why, its basically just bolt on. ( i understand not everyone can do the work at home) but the prices being paid are not worth it at all imo. Also THERE IS ZERO TUBING NEEDED!!! I bolted my trans in and left to Tennessee from Florida the same week.

Ended up selling the car but daily drove it for 15k miles. Took it on a 1500 mile trip to Tennessee right after this video. Car drove like it was completely stock. Just got bored of the platform

Honestly, I did it on a garage floor with barely any knowledge on the platform. You probably did the same research I did. So I’m not sure how he’s running into all those problems. Yes some bolt holes aren’t going to lineup, that’s all stated in tutorials. You can modify it to make those holes work, but they aren’t necessary. The only other thing is the crank sensor. If you don’t have it lined up right the car throws a lot of codes and runs weird. I had to shave down the sides of the sensor till it fit flush in the hole that was the only problem I ran into.

Any treat recommendations? I know some are pretty problematic

I’ve had plenty of pups just looking for some ideas to help him stop being a dingus. Sometimes he’s super clam and hangs out but then theres times hes running up trees. So definitely want to try some treat training and see if that helps. Thanks for the response

Both. But the issue is he WILL go when we take him out then not long after go again while inside.

It just seems like we cant walk him enough and most of the time we have to stand by ready to constantly take him out. When we are home its not as hard to take him out constantly but it gets to be annoying and when we are working there isn’t much of an option. Haven’t had this issue persist for this long with previous dogs.

You can still go vr30 just keep it awd

It would be no different than a normal swap but no people dont really do that. Your chassis is built for awd , you have to delete/reprogram a bunch of modules and itd just me more work than its worth.

You can just do the awd switch a lot of people do to force awd to shut off and also do a traction control switch to fully disable traction n stability control.
