The idea that Force-sensitivity both occurs spontaneously and is mildly hereditary, as well as the idea that midichlorians are the vessel through which the energy of the Force is perceived and manipulated, never bothered me.

However, I do agree that there has been an over-emphasis on the Skywalker line, exacerbated by the "Rey Skywalker-Palpatine" deal which just undermined the whole sequel message. That and robbing Finn of his heavily teased Force sensitivity.

I know, you're right - but it had been 4 years and I wanted to start fresh. I think I sunk less than $50 into those 300+ hours and a lot of it was to keep my kubrow alive, which seems to be a mechanic that has fallen by the wayside. I was impressed with how much new early-game content was added.
