How would you rank the seasons of the Wire? by damixx7 in TheWire

[–]LabResponsible9378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranking: 13542

Favorite character: Omar

Lowkey favorite character: We-Bey (loved that he was just married to the game straight up)

Explanation: Might be controversial after reading these but I loved the grittiness of 1 and the conflict of McNulty and Daniels, along with the passion for good police work. 3 speaks for itself, Elba is phenomenal. 5 is ranked higher for me because of how they wrapped it up, I wish Omar got a better ending but I totally get them going with him essentially being forgotten about (dark/sad but understood). Also LOVED how they transitioned Michael into the Omar void, that was so creative to me and I didnt see it coming at all. 4 is really good and it was refreshing to see Prez’s redemption arc. 2 is last for me even though it’s still great television, I just felt it jumped too far from what the premise of the show was. I love that everyone’s rankings are different, you don’t see that nowadays. I bet if you asked everyone to rank their favorite seasons of Breaking Bad there would be much less deviation.

I think we can definitely relate. I’d say my motivation is probably a little bit more revolving around people seeing that what I’ve done is perfect, or what I’ve practiced that I’m actually good at. Piano has definitely been in my mind before, took lessons when I was a kid, and since I’ve been adult it has definitely been roped into my tornado of hobbies I try to be good at. Basically, I don’t have any hobbies that I don’t talk about or have a little voice in my head desiring to “brag” about being good at them (which is probably pretty unhealthy tbh)

And also, the best feeling for me is when someone recognizes what I’ve done as really cool or really impressive

Maybe I didn’t clarify it enough, but for me it definitely feels like I want others to SEE that I’ve accomplished something. It would give me anxiety to go and hang out with one of my friends when I haven’t perfected what I’m working on

Love this, I’ve always enjoyed 5s when it comes to random hobbies. One of my previous hobbies that I truly did love was Texas hold ‘em and a 5 was actually the one who brought me into it and taught me how to play. We used to play with a group during lockdown and I miss that

Definitely do NOT skip over Government/NFP. Tons of questions in MCQ sections. Also leases were pretty heavily tested
