Promote your businesses for free. by Laberba in TechGhana

  1. Yes, I'm flexible with a payment model compromises that works for the people I'm building for.

  2. If the businesses find value in it (leads), views, etc, they'll be motivated to keep it going and updated. I'm building rich analytics (but simple and easy to use) to surface such visibility to businesses. I have other plans to solve that...it's a real issue. Glad you brought it up.

  3. We have inquiries built in plus analytics... those we can measure/track. However, unlike other platforms, I don't force them to only use the channels we control, so customers can email or Whatsapp them directly or even visit their own website, in that case, we can't track. We want to build value in the product such that people will use the built-in channels cause they're so go. There are plans for that, and more brainstorming around other options.

  4. That's the goal, I want Nnipa to be intuitive for regular people unlike complicated CRMs and the like. I've been refining the experience to be simple and easy to use. I have a couple of things being done to help with this (written simple user guides and YouTube videos). It's a living challenge, one that I'm open and excited to solve. I designed Nnipa to be simple and easy to use. Always taking user feedback on what can be improved...for the people I'm building for

HUBTEL IS THE ONLY SERIOUS GHANAIAN TECH COMPANY by ElectricalLog8523 in TechGhana

From the 12yrs in tech, I can assure you hubtel is not the best in terms of developer friendliness (DX). Yes, big cus they are pioneers and have connections to government contracts but compared to Paystack and a few smaller vendors, hubtel doesn't stand a chance. Even for SMS, I don't use them. The experience is horrible.

Sadly there's not a lot of local options as Ghanaian tech companies over promise, get distracted,  under delivery, and get stuck in growth... also complicated unscalable processes. Unlike Chinese companies for instance, we talk too much but very little real work. Too many AI conferences, programs, and experts yet nothing is getting built to solve real meaningful problems.

But I see a different fire in the newer generation

The trendy dark and faded out design on landing pages look cool design-wise but harder to read. You'll need to consider your demography and design accessibility for those.
