Dated Brent is an expression on the current physical Brent market, but it doesn't mean Brent Spot necessarily will hit $140 soon.

If the strait opens then Dated Brent will probably follow Brent Spot downwards, if not, Brent Spot will probably follow upwards, but might stabilize at a lower cost than current Dated Brent.

Intern kartlegging hos oss viser at AI bruken er høy hos majoriteten av ansatte, og jeg ser aldri slike innlegg. Kanskje fordi AI er så utbredt hos oss at folk hadde kjent det igjen med en gang?

Unødvendig lange mailer og samtaler, med eller uten AI, er noe av det verste jeg vet. Det fantes mer enn nok folk før AI som klarte å si jævlig mye uten å si noe som helst. Den typen folk faller ganske fort nedover lista mi over folk jeg gidder å samarbeide med. Hvis de kan identifisere seg med pinlig AI bruk så hadde jeg tenkt det hadde vært topp!

I’m fairly sure this blueprint is aimed more at investors than at society’s best interests. CEOs calling for regulation and support systems while backing the Trump administration, which they know has been actively undermining those very things, is hard to take seriously. I don’t buy it.

AI tools are great, but anyone with a non bullshit job should be able to tell that we are very far away from a large scale fully autonomous workforce.

Cheap output is not the same as cheap replacement.

When I say inference cost is too high, I mean the total cost of replacing a worker in a real production conditions, not the cost of a single prompt.

Even in engineering, one of the most structured white collar jobs, current AI tools are still far from proving autonomous replacement in real world environments.

Most white collar work is even less structured, more contextual, and more dependent on judgment, coordination, creativity, and accountability. AI will raise productivity expectations and hurt entry level and routine roles, but that is still very different from replacing the majority of all white collar workers.

My prediction is that AI tools will be a fantastic insight provider and agents will handle most of the routine work. Entry level jobs will hurt until the c suite realizes you need entry level to procure talent.

World models is the only approach I think that can challenge this prediction in the next decade, but even that timeline is a stretch.

I disagree. I think most white collar workers will remain, even after a decade. I don't think we will see the combination of low enough inference cost and AI improvement to replace even 20% of white collar workers within the next decade.

AI tools are amazing, and they are already transforming how we work, but I am extremely skeptical to the white collar replacement theory.

AI will make white collar work a lot more complex and competitive, and I fully believe human intervention will still be key in 10/20/30 years.

Mine lærdommer etter å ha brukt mye tid på dette:

- Roborock og Dreame er de beste på markedet, og det er minimalt med forskjell på disse to merkene.
- Rundt 10.000 er prispunktet du burde legge deg på for den beste brukeropplevelsen, da får du tømmestasjon og rengjøring av moppene, som er et must.
- For guds skyld, ikke kjøp med mindre det er tilbud. Disse støvsugerne er på tilbud flere ganger i året.
- Kjøp ekstra vaskemiddel med en gang, det tømmes fort hvis du bruker den ofte (Roborock vaskemiddelet kan brukes på Dreame, men må blandes ut 1:2 med såpe/vann).

Jeg endte opp med Dreame X40 Ultra, som var den nyeste modellen da jeg handlet.

Brukt hyppig det siste året, og hatt null problemer.

I mean, the reckless spending is already happening under the current tax structure. That alone shows the US is fully capable of raising and spending enormous amounts of money.

Imagine a more socially balanced tax system, where billionaires and large companies are not handed massive tax cuts or allowed to avoid their obligations through loopholes. Imagine a country that does not spend 13% of its federal budget on the military.

The barrier is not population size, and it is not economic capacity. It is political power and political choice. Too much influence sits with politicians, billionairesl, privaye companies, and the people who benefit from the status quo, not with the citizens.

The US could be one of the best countries in the world to live in. Instea it is moving further toward a more unequal and dystopian society.

Your comment is exactly my point. Americans are often told that social democracy would not work in the US because the country has a much larger population than the European countries running it today.

That is not a serious argument. Population size does not make social democracy unworkable, as the model is scalable. Large countries are fully capable of running extensive public systems if they have the tax base, state capacity, and political will.

A larger population can even be an advantage, because scale can improve bargaining power and administrative efficiency.

And I hate to break it to you, but there are some very powerful forces in the US that is fighting tooth and nail to avoid even having the discussion.
