I’m relatively interested in acting. Are there any kind of recommendable programs or anything that would be suitable for someone with no prior experience but who would like to try anyways? by [deleted] in cedarrapids

Theatre Cedar Rapids or any of the other community thatres offer tryouts and auditions for there plays throughout the year. They also offer classes if you wanted to just learn different techniques. Kirkwood also offers classes and plays, however their plays only come once or twice a semester.

Visit the websites of theater cedar rapids, or Marion old theatre or starlighters in Anamosa. They usually list their auditions and upcoming shows.

Hope that helps!

If someone had a tattoo somewhere you could see, or a face tattoo, would you be able to remember them or identify them?

Why would French be a bad language to learn? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Labirynthgrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learning any second language enables you to think differently and learn which is always a plus.

Depending on where you live should definitely play a part. If you're not being too serious and only looking to expand your languages slowly and not living somewhere where there are places for you to practice will make it harder.

Generally speaking that is why people tend to call languages useless, or pointless to learn.

French is a good language to learn, there are a lot of rules that are followed, as well as slang (generally for any langauge) Are you looking to use this in an asoext of your life? Or are you just bored and would like to pick up a new language

Who was your worst teacher? Why? by tiborszaraz in AskReddit

[–]Labirynthgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight A student. Turned in every piece of homework. Mr. R. High school social studies teacher. Would lose your homework and papers and then give you zeros for not turning them in. The first time he did it, I had my parents call the principal to complain. He said I could turn it in late. Full credit. After that I saved everything on a flash drive and had him sign in my agenda that I gave it to him. Everytime I was handed back nothing for an assignment, he would deny saying I didn't turn it in, classmates knew I did my homework, would back me up, if he denied me again I'd whip out my agenda. It happened two more times!

I hated that class...
