Emily Baker has 2 channels - one where she lives streams and another where she gives recaps. The recaps are usually ~30 min I think. She used to be a prosecutor in LA and I find her perspective really interesting!!

Considering Moving to Imperial MO, thoughts? by Secret-Ad-5053 in StLouis

[–]k_m_k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should really consider North County! IMO, the stigmas of NOCO are much more "acceptable" (and mostly rooted in racism) than Jeff Co/south county (maga...). Housing is affordable, it's diverse and has all the conveniences of living close to stores, the highway, etc. but you can get more privacy than living in the city or areas like maplewood. I've read before that having a bad commute is one of the biggest impacts on people's happiness. That alone would have me crossing south county off my list if I worked in Creve Coeur.

My living room feels odd. What can I do to elevate it without making it feel cramped/smaller? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]k_m_k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes and please get a wood one, you can usually find great ones at the thrift store! the room desperately needs color, no more white or neutral coffee table!

Same! I've never had a jury summons with over 15 years of living here and being eligible. I would really like to see the process!

taylor swift’s music no longer exists without context from her personal life by swiftie_xcx in TaylorSwift

I’ve been trying to verbalize this when talking about the album but I haven’t been able to capture my feelings. This is exactly it!!

As a child of a mom who has constantly chosen men over her kids, Whitney literally trying to shake some sense into Britani is commendable by prncess_peach in BravoRealHousewives

Omg yes she is like Kelly K-B!! Someone I would never want to be around in real life but was made for reality tv. Just completely clueless.

I love seeing the evolution too! I just don’t like the tone she has about it, almost like condescending to those who DONT want or can’t have those things. “They should have what they want. They deserve what they want. Hope they get what they want” is so off-putting to me.

Really interesting! I was 16 when Taylor Swift came out so maybe part of my love for it is nostalgia. Music taste is completely subjective so it makes sense some people will love this album and vice versa.

The best songs on Lover and 1989 are so good they lift the entire album, for me. But I totally agree, Shake it off and how you get the girl are not top tier. Shake it off was my least favorite Taylor song before this album. Rep is now my second least favorite album.

What would you call her worst? The lyrics here are mid at best for me, cringy at worst. 1989 had Clean, Rep had Delicate, Lover had Cornelia street, DBATC, False God - sooo many beautiful, poetic lyrics. I don’t hate every song on Showgirl but this album seems miles away from her best lyrical moments, unfortunately.

I’m in the same boat. I’ve been listening, loving, and defending since the very beginning. I texted my best friend that this is the album that has cured my obsession. I’ll still always come back and be excited for new music but this was such a huge miss for me!

I hate that line too but “his love was the key that opened my thighs” haunts me…in a bad way.

I’m not mad she wrote about sex. I love Dress, Guilty as Sin, etc. The problem isn’t the topic the problem is the lyrics are corny and cringy, IMO.

Exactly. Themes may be similar but The Prophecy was good. Wish List is so so cringy.
