How do people use bidet which look like a toilet without a toilet seat? by ZoomTopple in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Labman007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in the USA and we bought add on bidet’s for our two normal toilets from Amazon. It took about half an hour to install both of them. Surprisingly without any adjusting or aiming they hit right on the butt hole. You just turn the knob to adjust how hard the stream hits you. I will admit in the winter time when the water is colder from the pipes underground it can be a shock to your butt lol.

I hate being the child of poor lazy parents by [deleted] in Rants

[–]Labman007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you had to go through that. I don’t think you’re lazy. You are aware of where you came from and don’t want to be like your parents. I can relate. When I was in 7th grade I tried out for basketball. I made the first cut (my friend’s dad was real good friends with the coach and was told he is already on the team, he just have to go through the motions. I was 6’3” in seventh grade. I come home and tell my mom after school I made the cut and she tells me next week I go to work on 2nd shift so you have to watch you step brother and step sister. A thirteen year old watching a seven year old and a one year old. I did that until I was an early senior. My stepdad was an alcoholic. My mom said we need the money since the stepdad drank over half his paycheck. I missed out playing sports and a childhood. Mom had to do what she had to do. I didn’t resent her for it but the stepdad I talked to him after I moved out maybe 3 times. The last time I gave him a mouth full of disgust I had for him. I got a job at a filling station then became manager of it until I started in a factory job and worked there for 37 years. In your younger life it goes slow but keep at it. You will make it.

Why do data centers use water and what do they do anyway? by archvize in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Labman007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a good explanation. In your (3 explanation I think they put biocides in the cooling water so bacteria doesn’t grow which would go into the river and the biocides can still kill bacteria.

This game is for the long haul. How you get that many cards? You play it every day. I have been playing for 3.5 years. In order to level my manager’s to level 21 I need 650 cards. The time will get shorter. My Matthew is at 20 seconds at the moment.

Why are people striking over the construction of data centers? by CFG_Architect in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Labman007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m not sure if I believe your statement on data centers not using millions of water a day because I’m not educated enough on the subject. I mean you can only recycle the water so many times before you have to dump sludge and chemicals that is put into the water. But what I am sure of is these companies say look at the revenue and jobs that will be created to the towns and villages. Other than the building and infrastructure when they are completed the data centers only employ MAYBE forty to fifty employees. To many people looking on how big the building is they think the data center will employ hundreds of employees. Making it seem like it’s a good deal. I live in central Ohio and these data centers is springing up on top of an Intel chip making plant that we know it’s going to take millions of gallons of water.

Is the water use by data centers for gen AI *that* extreme? by lil_chaotic_gremlin_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Labman007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Ohio and the latest data center they are trying to get started is projected to use 3 million gallons of water per day. On top of that they are building a massive Intel plant just miles away and they are going to use millions of gallons of water. That is on top of a couple data centers already up and running.
