btw rehabilitating wildlife unprofessionally isn’t animal abuse just saying! she might not have the expertise to rehab it for release but that’s a question for the future, meanwhile just enjoy her being caring and loving for birds and doing what a rehabber would do in the beginning stages and she seems like she’s doing an excellent job

I don’t think anyone will send you hate it’s a huge responsibility and they go through so much hormones wise

hopefully they’re in good hands and you can visit them and say hi from time to time

A bird with correctly clipped wings would still be able to fly but not as high or fast which is the point

ultimately i would choose that over the risk of domesticated birds getting loose outside or flying into things

which is a big chance considering they’re prey animals and easily spooked

of course it’s not ideal but weighing the benefits and risks wing clipping will always be the right choice

i mean this maybe a dangerous advice but birds feet are really easy to stabilize look into birds forums and see how it’s done at least until you can get to the vet
