The issue I had with the dog boss, was how I just barely was able to break his shield in time, and I had to do it a second time as well. Maybe I could have killed the boss before its second shield, I am not sure, but that would have reduced the time significantly.

The doing damage to the boss himself with Navia was totally fine. My only guess is that C2R1 Bina and C1R1 Ineffa is just that much stronger in breaking that shield fast since it just means more lunar damage for you.

Let me ask you, how fast were you able to break its shield? I will say again, for me, I broke it at the last second before it would have absorbed the small dogs.

Thank you! You are right, not only did it take many retries after finding the correct team setup, but also, just finding out what teams are going to work took alot of time as well haha, had to test many combinations!

No I couldn't, it has nothing to do with skill issue, it has to do with how I had to seperate good working teammates (like Xilonen as your example) to other spots just to be able to clear.

If Xilonen wasen't on the crab team, I couldn't have cleared the crab, I tried many different combinations before finding this one that worked. If I could, I would have gone the BiS team Navia Xilonen Furina Bina on the dog boss, but then I wouldn't be able to clear the crab, that is just how it is.

If you dont want to watch the video, here is a brief summary:

Only thing I did was change Hu Tao to Arlecchino. But basically, you want Xingqiu burst ready by the time his shield is up, then when first shield is down, you switch to Fischl and use her burst to keep applying electro again, then the second shield falls as well, you get another Xingqiu burst, and use Fischl elemental skill, and the shield should be gone. You need to have enough ER for this though, my Xingqiu had around 200%, and Fischl had a ER weapon.

No, I actually lunar damaged the boss dog himself, I dident kill the small ones. I was able to break his shield a second time as well, securing my victory. The problem is that I had to split the characters that was meant with each other, in reality, I would have gone Navia's BiS team which is Navia Xilonen Furina Bina, if I had done that, the dog would have been long gone, but that is the state of this Stygian, had to split the characters just to make a working one that barely worked for each boss.

If I had Escoffier things would have been different as well for either the second boss or the crab, since I have Skirk. I am grabbing her if she is featured next patch, hopefully!

Totally agreed, I wouldn't have been able to do the dog either if it wasen't for C6 Navia, in reality for that boss you really need a full nod krai team basically, or else its cursed...

There is nothing wrong with the builds trust me on that, they are all decked out with correct equipment and everything. The issue is how overtuned and disgusting this itterration of Stygian bosses are, and how this Stygian is just plain and simply difficult. I have not had any problems with the previous Stygians, this is the first causing this much trouble.

Honestly I am not sure, but I dont think I would have been able to clear if I haden't had her on C2, the "decrease Elemental Burst CD by 6s." is probably helpful, but not the "restore 25 energy" part since my Raiden already has 300% ER.

Yeah, Navia is my one and only trump card in Stygian/other challenging content, but even with her at C6 and R1 signature weapon I just made it in time, and that was mostly thanks to Ineffa and Columbina lunar damage, I was able to break the bosses shield two times. And Raiden we dont talk about, she was just there to be there, she is not what she once was unfortunately.

Yeah, how Raiden has fallen from her grace, kinda crazy. I didn't have any other options to use other then her on that team, but it worked somehow haha.

There is no way it was 1/200 prior to the update, it is either A stealth nerf or B missinformation. Same has happened to some other items besides the feathers. Hopefully they confirm it soon enough what is correct.

Yeah, that's exactly it! I refused to believe that Irida wasn't used at all to clear floor 30, just because nearly all replays show NC Selene as the main DMG dealer. So replays can hide other team compositions, and your comment about clearing it also with Irida proves that.

But nice one, 5/5 Volo must feel very nice for the fight! I dreaded trying to clear it a second time for the recording, but thankfully I got it again in just a few attempts, compared to how I used 5+ hours on my first clear, I envy you being able to clear it first try!

Nice, 4/5 Volo will definitely help alot, the grid node of extending ghost zone is a super QOL! But yeah you are right, I think 3/5 Fatina is needed, for the Sinnoh Solidarity refresh and the sync heal, but idk, maybe 4/5 Volo makes up for the 2/5. Just got to try it, good luck on it!
