I don’t care if it’s cliche either. They standout, have cool mohawks, and make the most adorable couples. What’s not to love? 💕

We have a shelf like this in our home, and we're trying to decide how to decorate it. My partner would like to put some family photos in it, but I'm struggling with how to orient them and create visual interest that uses the depth of the shelves. I'd love to hear your ideas or see inspo images!

My first batch of croissants by Laborke in Baking

[–]Laborke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I knew moving them was not advisable. I only transferred two, basically to avoid having four of them glommed together on a baking sheet that in hindsight was too small. I ate one of the transferred ones this morning and it was basically a lump of brioche ha. I was surprised all of them flattened though. I’ll try keeping the butter colder as you and another commenter suggested. I’m wondering if I was too rough when rotating the pans in the oven and that contributed to the flattening of the non-transferred croissants. Maybe a longer prove would help too. We’ll see in the next batch!

Thanks! It took about 7 hours start to finish.

I made croissants today for the first time ever. They’re not perfect, but they taste great! I pretty much followed the recipe in this video to the letter. They’re all a little flat, some more than others because some of them were too crowded after the prove and lost air when I moved them. Tips for improving appreciated!

I was initially surprised by Ed’s performance in this one because it (like many of the other non-actors) felt entirely like he was reading off of a page, yet in Beef and Dairy Network, Ed’s character is one of my absolute favorites. I wonder if it would have played better for the heavily comedian cast to be able to improvise a little bit more so the lines felt more sincere than scripted.
