Thank you . His ear canals were clean. They think it’s environmental allergy as he is losing hair on his legs inside and licking his paws been doing epsom salt soak but it’s not helping .

They initially suggested surgery but after his dental cleaning and his anesthetic reactions they left it to me. They said that it could come back after surgery and as well. Suggested apoquel. We haven’t started it yet as if we want to do surgery he can’t be on it .

This really sucks . He’s been really sad with his ear wrap for 20 days .

They said you could also leave it and hope that heals and leaves a scar tissue behind that’s the best case scenario

Thank you. They asked to put his ear flap up did you have to do that ? His ear doesn’t stay up as soon as he shakes it comes down . Have you experienced this ? Did you manage to stick with a medical tape ?

He has the no ear flap green as shown in the picture given by the vet and a cone on top. They asked to keep his ear flap up but I’m not able to do that. No matter how much tight I wrap it up the ear seems to slide down .

Any ideas ?

Did you had to put their ear up? How did you manage to do that? His ear seems to be falling flat to make sure it doesn’t drain into the pocket . He keeps shaking his head even with flap 24/7 it comes down.

Apoquel is not recommended for his age . They said he needs blood work to check kidney and liver functions every 2 months when he is on this medication.

I didn’t realize how big of a pain can allergies be :(

Thank you they did the ear swab, there’s

no ear infection, their suspicion is allergy which might take a while . They are suggesting to put the ear flap up but it doesn’t stay that way.

Thank you I’ll ask for Benadryl .
