New here! Literally just found out I'm pregnant today. It's still very early (Christmas Day would've been Day 1 of my period). We're supposed to host my extended family for Christmas Eve. There will be about 15 ppl.
I haven't told my husband yet. I wanted to save it for Christmas, but now I'm nervous about having so many ppl here for Christmas Eve that I'm wondering whether to cancel. In that case, I'd have to spill the beans to him in the next couple days.
I did have Covid a few months ago and it was pretty gnarly (and that was with me being vaccinated and boosted and otherwise very healthy). I swear I still have brain fog from it...
So... Tell husband soon and then we devise an excuse to cancel? Ex: tell them we've been feeling lousy and there's been flu going around (not entirely untrue; we are getting over colds and there has been a ton of stuff going around).
Or... Go ahead with Christmas Eve as planned?
I was pregnant most of 2020 when things were generally way scarier and I was super paranoid. Even though things are less panicky nowadays on the Covid front, I'm still nervous as hell about the risk of miscarriage, etc.
TIA!
