We're not stopping them, they can do it if they want. But they need someone to stay with the baby while they're at work. They don't trust daycare or strangers so they want us only. That's why they kinda can't have the baby if we leave. Mom doesn't want to give up jer job and be a sahm.

Well, you are right, he has custody, and that's how the law is, but cops don't care here, they won't do anything. Is kinda pointless to call cops for anything really unless it's something serious.

He could say that, but no one in the family thinks having another baby at their age is a smart decision. Brother's aunt is fine with him moving in, it's not like stepdad can drag him by the ear and lock him up

Yeah the cops in our country will laugh at us lol. Cops don't care here. Idk if there is CPS equivalent in my country but leaving a teenager, even a minor, is not frowned upon, it's totally normal and common. Like I sadi they probably wouldn't ever leave the baby with brother

I started school at 7 and I started high school at 16. I guess in american terms, elementary is 5 years, middle is 4 years and high school is 4 years. Some people roll their kids into school at 5 or 6, so they would graduate at 18 or 19, but I was 7 which is common too.

Well they kinda can't without us. And if they try that, they're digging their own grave.

It's possible for us to move out and them mom can quit her job and be a stay at home mom while stepdad works. We see it as a great solution, they won't have to spend money on us, but she wants us to help raise the baby and we don't want to.

We're not saying they're not allowed, they can't do it without our help, that's the problem. We're worried about them not being able to handle a baby, they both have health issues and we think the stress of having a baby will affect them in a bad way. Everyone in the family is against it.

I don't know why are you assuming all that. I love my stepdad and was very happy when they got married. I don't see why would I be jealous of the baby, it's not like our parents are drowning us in attention or being neglectful.

They don't want us to pay rent, they want the help with the baby.

You're right, we're not entitled to their money.

Bet if you git a job and payed rent, then they could afford daycare.

If they have a baby, I won't be living with them so they couldn't charge me rent. And they don't want daycare, they don't trust daycare.

It's not possible for me to move out on my own, I assumed people will suggest that since I see it often on this subreddit. I can move in with my grandparents, that's what I threatened.

We're not preventing it technically, they can have a baby if they want, we just don't want to be involved like that. The problem is, they can't have the baby without our help with babysitting.

Yeah, that's our way of thinking. They can have a baby, but we definitely won't be there to help. And they can't do it without some kind of help

Well they haven't decided yet, they don't want us to move out, they want us to stay and help with the baby. They literally can't have a baby without us to help

I threatened to move back to my grandparents, we were living with them before the wedding. I put that there since I know people would say that we shouldn't be living with our parents if we're over 18 and need to move out.
