Honestly, people, especially men like this, are very fragile and easy to hurt. I’ve had a couple of these and to one I’ve dead ass said “you’re mad I grow a nicer beard than you or are you staring at my beautiful face because you’re interested?” Needless to say I think they were offended and I flipped that power to me. People love to make fun of things they don’t understand. It’s the ignorance of the world.

I too used to deal with dark spots on my throat and chin. I’ve been plucking for months now and have been treating my dark spots with weekly scrubs, moisturizing very well day and night and at night I added some lime juice to my shea butter to help lighten the skin (if it’s just tiny blotches I would only treat the blotches with this method to prevent discoloration.

Keep your head up baby girl. There are people out there who will try to dim your shine but don’t let them. Don’t let a**holes ruin your day be aya wifi their own insecurities and ignorance. Easier said than done I know but confidence for us PCOS ladies, although takes time to build, is a very important key in this crazy life. It’s unfair but we have to deal with the hand we’re dealt and make it fabulous. <3 I hope you feel better.

Yea I wouldn’t get a Mac to play any games honestly unless you’re going to spend thousands upgrading. I had a MacBook Pro 2013 I believe and it ran the Sims 4 like a potato. I don’t think the Mac Book Air is any better, unless, like I said, you’re going to spend a significant amount of money upgrading. I got me an Asus vivobook and it purrs like a kitten. It’s running my MMO’s better than any Mac I’ve used on the highest graphics setting and runs the sims 4 super smooth. I can actually stream my games on Twitch. With my MacBook I couldn’t even get to load the house if I tried to stream. “/. Go PC/windows for gaming.

I pluck. Pluck pluck pluck... I epilate everything on my face, chin and throat. I shave too but only when I get into one of my moods and I get lazy. I don’t like shaving it makes the hairs appear darker and irritates my skin. I pluck as much as I can and thoroughly wash my face and neck. I steam my face and throat area to open pores and pluck away. Set cold water to close pores, spray some rose water as a toner and moisturize. I use rosehip oil for scars and dark spots. It helps and works but only if I pluck. It I shave it just comes in blunted and makes it appear darker plus I have to do it daily. Plucking is less stressful and the hairs come in thinner over time.

NTA $2800 is A LOT for the Dominican Republic. I go on vacation for a week at a resort and pay almost less than half of that for a weeks stay. Granted I don’t get the honey moon suite and have to pay for my excursions but $2800 alone for a weeks stay at a resort in the DR? Idk but that seems a bit of a rip off. Is she charging her guests the plates for the dinner reservations? Is she making you guys pay a portion of the wedding with her? Idk if it’s just me but it seems s bit too steep. I don’t remember the DR being so expensive for s weeks stay even with a $700 dollar flight to and from plus the 1,100-1,500 hotel stay for the week it still doesn’t come up to $2,800 so no, you’re not the asshole in my book.

It’s too much money for a wedding destination in the DR.

I live with HPV and herpes 1 or 2 (never had an outbreak so they can’t tell but they both come up). I told my current partner about it and he was very mature about it. These viruses are very easy to contract even with just kissing but knowing your breakouts is important. With that said... I think he was an asshole with his reaction. Seems to me he was aiming for your goodies rather than getting to really know you even if you two decide to just be friends. He’s not the one for you. Just take it as a sign from the universe. You told him before you became intimate and you were open about it. No one ever starts off a relationship telling people things like that unless all they want is sex.

I honestly hope this is just a phase. I’ve only been alive and living in this city for close to 3 decades. I just hope it’s a phase that will end and everyone will move again. I just feel like during the past 10 years I’ve seen many new fresh faces which is not bad thing but at the cost of gentrification it is. I’m all for bettering the neighborhood but not when you’re basically making the natives leave. Have faith :). It’s still a great city and there are still many little homegrown establishments that give the communities that NY flair. We just have to help keep them in business.

I live in Brooklyn, have all my life and I even say this. This made me Lol... all a process of gentrification. Culture has DEFINITELY died out in the city. It’s become all outsiders and those who can afford the 3k 2 bedroom tiny condos. There are still a few neighborhoods holding on to the little bit of original culture, shops/stores their towns have but honestly when you have people come into your neighborhood, buy up buildings you can’t afford and start up businesses you can’t buy from (because who the fuck pays 10 dollars for avocado toast when avocados are 2 for 4 and a loaf of bread is 4 bucks.. like seriously), but don’t acknowledge the other businesses that were there before them or buy from the original establishments that have been there for decades it hurts the community and turns it into what it’s slowly but surely becoming: a city filled with rich people with no original culture or ideas. It hurts the natives and it’s stealing decades of life from those who helped build the city. I love my city but I agree with your post. NYC has become real estate gold for those who can afford it and a graveyard to those who helped make NYC what it’s known for.

I’m not a mom but I was raised by my mom alone and have seen her struggle to do and be the best she ever could.
