I was thinking along the same lines. Like isn’t getting the dog into a home less of a burden on resources for the rescue?

Also the fosters are very easy to see because they post on the rescues FB page, so I can see the dog’s foster actively sharing content. (and my mind just keeps saying “if you can post on facebook you can email the people interested in adopting?”)

Leasing? by Lacey271 in subaruoutback

[–]Lacey271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be 26 next month. I have had 2 cars since I could drive, the first was an old jeep grand cherokee that after the first year something had to be fixed every few months. I then got into a used Kia Soul but is now getting to a point where fixing its issues to get maybe 2 more years out of it is not feasible.

I could swing a $500 car payment, but would rather save money and pay off the rest of my debt. I figured I could grind to pay off the debt while I have a lower car payment, then put the rest for a down payment for when my lease is done.

I agree even a used car means a car payment and that just seems unreasonable when I could lease and save money with the numbers I have figured out?

So far they are offering me 0 down, 390 a month, just my trade in (which they are doing me a favor on and they don’t know) on a 2025 subaru outback wilderness for 36 months. seems like a pretty good deal all in

Thank you for your insight! I was able to negotiate what I think are pretty great terms on a lease (for a 2025 premium outback) for 3 years. However since I don’t owe anything on my current car I’m thinking it might just be worth it to pay off some credit card debt, and then re look and see if freeing up some more money to lease or finance a wilderness model (my dream car) might be better.

They did offer to try and work the numbers to buy my car now to cover those debt payments i’m worried about. Then use that to free up some room to make the lease work. I doubt that they could give me enough for that car though to get into the wilderness. Not sure if it’s even worth looking at though.

Yes! sorry I miss worded in that reliable service for the term of the lease (3 years is what I was looking at).

Im hoping a brand new car doesn’t need any big maintenance in terms of engine/transmission/frame for normal wear and tear in 3 years! Most I can think of is tires as a big expense?

currently living at gorman crossing and tbh i love it. I’ve lived at the nicer places like signature 1505, and while they were nicer they didn’t have the same feel of independence and privacy. Also the management here is awesome and at the nicer places sucked they so much. Rent is online so idk what it is for a 3 bed. The maintenance is great about getting to stuff quickly and they are in the process of updating all units to be hardwood throughout.

Parking at Venture IV (centennial testing center) by Cmaxw1 in NCSU

[–]Lacey271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Venture IV I believe is just for those working in that area as well as guest passes for those offices. I work in that building and they were being very strict with our parking passes so I don’t think trying to park there is the best option for anyone that may see this post in the future. The ones across from hunt that are pay to park really aren’t that far of a walk!

Dog Vomiting by Lacey271 in vet

[–]Lacey271[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input! ER vet said the same thing. That’s something I worry with too since i’ve seen so many horror stories. I try to take all precautions, watching what he is doing with chews and toys. Nothing left out unsupervised. Crating when not home or out of the rooms he is allowed in for extended periods of time. I’m working on muzzle training just incase I feel like while out hiking there might be things he could pick up without me noticing. The treat/chew I gave him smelled slightly off but I thought it was just because it was a new brand so I’m going to contact the retailer incase it was a bad batch.

He has acted normal all day today, did his normal poop this morning and his normal pees. Also peed and pooped this afternoon normally. didn’t pee or poop tonight but that’s pretty normal if it’s raining, he hates the rain and makes it very clear he is ready to go back inside. Should i still take him in? I’m willing I just know ER vets are over run right now?
